Michigan voters think the economy is in rough shape, but President Obama continues to lead Mitt Romney in that state.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Michigan Voters shows Obama with 48% support to Romneys 42%. Five percent (5%) favor some other candidate in the race, and four percent (4%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
The survey of 500 Likely Voters in Michigan was conducted on July 23, 2012 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 4.5 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.

Ya but where was the pol taken... Detroit?
This is sad, especially from a state hit very hard by the Obamaeconomy. However, I would bet his government takeover/bailout of GM is buying enough votes.

Relative nOOb. Polls are worthless, he just hasn’t figured that out.
Or he’s trolling.
None of these pols are credible.
I think people in Detroit are still waiting for their “Obama money” to arrive
I’m sure they left out the whole west side of the state.
The Unions and Democrat Super-Pacs are spending like crazy on Radio ads in Michigan, blaming Romney for ‘Out-sourcing” Michigan Jobs, and praising Obama for saving the Auto Industry.
The ads don’t mention the 40+ years of Jog out-FORCING Democrat policies, and what Unionism has done, though.
Do they show the trend? Where was this one in month’s past? I am not surprised to see and Obama lead, or to see Obama at 48...it is under 50%, but better than the swings states. I am a little surprised to see Romney down by that much, would have expected more like 47-44 or 48-45.
Ras is pretty credible and does anyone really believe that Michigan could ever be won by the GOP in this day and age?
Morris has suggested that Zero's approval -- in the high 40s -- represents a ceiling to his potential vote share. Also, Romeny hasn't been spending much money yet. From what I've read, he's bought more ad time during the Olympics than Zero -- of course we'll see what happens "in the fullness of time".

Considering its almost been a quarter century since Michigan went for the GOP...and Romney is almost withing themargin of error...this isn’t bad news.
What is the matter with American women?
They are The Disaster’s only source of support other than delusional Blacks.
“None of these pols are credible.”
A poll’s credibility can only be determined by its results and this poll has no credibility as the results are not palatable.
That’s with the real voters. Just imagine how bad it will be with the imaginary ones tacked on election day.
Good first post, he should be commended for posting it.
Last election Michigan elected a Republican Governor and Legislature. The Disaster has an excellent chance of losing in Nov.
