I have been a "lurker" only since 2004, so I missed the Clinton era entirely. I found this site through the Swiftboat forum that arose in opposition to John Kerry. I am so glad I did! I "broke down" and joined in April, 2006, when I could no longer keep how much I agreed with what I was reading to myself! I know that most news outlets thought that the Whitewater episode was just a “right-wing attack”, but I believed every word and knew that those that knew the truth were covering for Clinton. The medias absolute refusal to vet Obama even now is more evidence of their desire to control political outcomes by withholding the truth about Democrats from the voters. They also have no qualms about outright lying about conservatives!

Talking about Bill O’Reilly, back about the time of the ENRON failure, O’Reilly was regularly putting down FreeRepublic, and complaining about his lost investment in ENRON. Someone on FreeRepublic had been doing an expose on ENRON and was really all over the connection between the Clinton administration and ENRON. I sent O’Reilly and email and told him that if he had been reading FreeRepublic, he would have known that ENRON was a bad investment and closely tied to the Clinton administration.

The medias absolute refusal to vet Obama .....
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
So?... Why is the conservative media cooperating with the refusal to vet Obama. The birth certificate is just one part of this vetting issue.
What about the lack of evidence that Obama attended Columbia. No one remembers him being there. Or what about the convenient deaths of the gay members of Wight's church. How about Quarles death the night before he was to give testimony on Obama’s passport records, or the death of the assistant to the coroner within hours of the release of Breitbart’s autopsy?
What do we hear from Rush and the other so-called conservative weenies (0ops! talk show hosts)? Silence!

I have to dispute the “plagiaristic” comment. Freerepublic serves as an aggreeegator or watchlist of news articles and more which may be more likely of interest to the people trying to locate such information by consulting the community watchlist of headlines. Freerepublic furthermore provides a place where people of common interests may comment upon the articles in an easy to find location, and which is not subjecting such comments to blatant censorship as part of a political agenda. So long as these articles are being properly cited and abstracted in accordance with the right of limited use of copyrighted publications, there is no cause or justification for alleging plagiarism or other improper claiming of the works of others. On the contrary, FR contributors often discover and report the real plagiarism of others who might go unchallenged without the exposure of Freerepublic and other publications.

You are right that Rush stays away from some of the more controversial topics, but I have definitely heard him talk about Jeremiah Wright and the fact that Obama has never released any of his school records. In 2008, Sean Hannity tried to expose Jeremiah Wright and even had him on his program, but then Obama threw Wright under the bus and the whole subject was dropped.

"Is that old windbag still on the air?"I'd like to assume you're kidding....but in case you aren't....
That "old windbag" is a great American; a good man. I've been listening to him since he was the local-yokel in Sacramento on talk radio in the San Joaquin Valley; where he really got his start. After this many years, even though I've never met the man personally, I consider him a friend.
He's not only on the air.....he has, by FAR, the largest radio audience in America and still growing by leaps and bounds. He has done more to educate America and Americans, more to further the cause of the Constitution and Conservatism than any other, single human being. Period.
So yeah, the old windbag is still kicking ass. WTF have you done with YOUR life?

Quinn of Quinn and Rose show is very informative. And is no lover of progressives, liberals and ESP. Obama. I get the show here on the west coast 3am on Sirius/xm. They broadcast out of Pittsburgh.

JH, what? You didn't get my memo?
No FReeper is allowed to talk ... or listen ... to Rush ... or any "Conservative Talk SHow Host" ... unless that host talks to, or at least about ... Sheriff Joe.
I am giving a half-credit if they talk about Obama's Campaign for fellow Luo Raila Odinga in Kenya. It was a clear violation of the Logan Act, and after Barack (and The Dick Morris) was through, 250,000 people were displaced, 2-3000 Chruistians were massacred by Odinga's people, and the country was thrown into famine.
"Odinga's Platform?" Rush might well ask. Sharia Law, Autonomous Muslims-only provinces, expulsion of Christians from the government, expulsion of missionaries, collective farming, etc. Supported on the stump by our own Magic Marxist Mombasa Mulatto! Oh yeah, and The Dick Morris, his sidekick on the Kenya Adventure.
