What I haven't seen is any mention of who bankrolled this guy. I've seen figures from $8K to almost $20K for his gear. How did an unemployed graduate student get that kid of money?

Leads one to suspect this might be a false flag operation. Reichstag fire, anyone?

“What I haven’t seen is any mention of who bankrolled this guy.”

Darn near anyone with a pulse can manage to get $20K worth of credit on credit cards.

All he needed was plastic.

An article said that he got a government grant to pursue his PHD and a few moviegoers in his spare time. From this I would say that we paid for his firearms and ammo. The really sad thing is that the only man who could see that this guy wasn’t right turned out to not be law enforcement, mental health professionals, college professors, or counselors, but the guy that he applied for a membership to a shooting range. In other words, a normal citizen used common sense. Kind of unusual in this world, but I was taught that it was important to have in the grand scheme of things.
