The young man who is in custody after allegedly gunning down 12 people in a mass shooting spree overnight in Aurora, Colorado has been identified as local resident James Holmes, according to federal authorities.

Obama needed his crisis, and now he has it. This treaty will flow through the Senate with little more than a peep. They'll parade the victims out on national news outlets and call any Senator refusing to ratify the treaty as cold and callous. Odd how, when a gun control measure is in trouble, some sort of gun incident occurs to make it easier to pass?

WASHINGTON (AP) - Federal law enforcement officials say the suspect in Friday’s deadly shooting in Colorado is James Holmes, a 24-year-old white American.
Holmes is in police custody, and the FBI says there is no indication that incident is tied to any terrorist groups.

“Dr. Comilla Sasson, at the University of Colorado Hospital where many of the victims were taken, said they are currently operating on nine critical patients and have treated 22 in all. She called the hospital “an absolutely terrifying scene all night.”
I went to medical school with her. Strange to see her name in the midst of all this.
