Simply put, people are not shopping at J.C. Penney. AFA and OneMillionMoms are showing success in the effort to educate people to Penney's aggressive national campaign to promote "gay" marriage.
The company is going downhill fast. Since February, the company stock has lost more than half its value, and Standard & Poor's Ratings Services lowered its credit rating on J.C. Penney Co. further into "junk" status.

First-year CEO Ron Johnson's decisions have led to disastrous results for the company. Rather than build on the faith-based traditions of founder James Cash Penney, Johnson has abandoned family values and taken the company into a financial tailspin by embracing social activism.
Families are the backbone of Penney's existence. As long as it pushes homosexual marriage, families will go elsewhere.
TAKE ACTION
Make a personal phone call to J.C. Penney's customer service department. Urge them to return to family values and stop pushing the gay marriage agenda.
Their numbers are 972-431-8200 (customer service) and 972-431-1000 (corporate headquarters).

NO, it is also about terminating a 21 year employee with the excuse of their reorganization. Now there are no sales and no need to re-locate items or change signs. Teams now sell and “set” merchandise.

And that's fine. You are certainly free to do that. BUt that has very little if anything to do with the stock price. That's about financial fundamentals. Ron Johnson has screwed the company with his retail pricing model and that is what is killing traffic and same store sales. As an example my wife went there a few months back and found it very confusing and frustrating and she won't go back because of the pricing model. Here's a Forbes article about the Citi analyst talking about how confusing it is:

The chart below confirms the market in free fall after GayPenney's open love in with Gays!

As long as it pushes homosexual marriage, families will go elsewhere.Of course. "Forced" tolerance is not tolerance at all. It's a lie.
Hopefully, the fall of Penny's will show others what could happen if they jump on the "You will think as we tell you to think" bandwagon.

What an uplifting testimony!
My Grandma worked for “Mr. Penney”, as she called him, during the Great Depression to supplement Grandaddy’s income.
She had nothing but good things to say about him.
What a different country that was.... and the story of Mr. J.C. Penney indicates why that is.

If appealing to "family values" or "faith-based traditions" was what it took, JC Penny would not have found itself in a position of needing to remake its brand or felt it had to appeal to the same-sex agenda.
The AFA stated JPC's credit was already "junk" status which tips off the fallaciousness of their point.
Now they are simply piling on hoping to see the end of a once great dept. store to claim a "victory" for their fundraising letters.

Another brick in the wall... JC Penny's been making lots of 'mistakes' but I the wellspring's the same.
Take the new 'pricing' ... the idea behind that is a rejection of all those messy 'trailer park' type sales (from their point of view - from mine it would be 'middle class' sales') they went for boutique by pricing. Well, the folks who shop JC Penny aren't 'boutique' shoppers - so that's a fail. The gay thing is in the same mindset - they want - again - upscale - like gays to shop at JC Penny. Boutique shoppers.
It's stupid because their basic merchandize doesn't support that type of SoHo shopper - or even the wannabees.

Well, on one side of the coin, it makes economic sense to market to gays, on average, they are more affluent than the average American and probably the only few cash cows out there now. I don't have much of a problem in general, it is just another demographic, right now, we have too many people chasing too few dollars.
Then on the other side, you risk ticking off your established market base as we see here so there are times you got to make the correct decision. I can't say if that's the reason their stock is down or not, too many factors out there. They are a business out to make money by serving their fellow human beings. I can't be too worried about this when we are going down economically, kicking hornets' nests in the Middle East, Iran, weakening our military (*), illegals crossing the border, Islam on the rampage and so on. I do support the idea of people decision to shop there, or not, according to their values. The ball is in their court, I'll leave it at that.
* - I'm concerned about the gay issue on our military though, we are bending back way too far to be PC and accomodating and this will hurt us in the future. I was OK with "don't ask, don't tell," where if one does admit being gay, they are out. I can see the point where maybe they say, it is their country too so gays should be able to join, but if it damages our morale and ability to fight, I would have to say no. There are other ways to contribute to America, not all battles are fought with a gun. Think of Alan Turning of the UK, he was a homosexual, yet, he did a great part in the work of developing computers and cracking Axis codes.

FWIW, if you really owned the stock at $43...and you didn't cut your losses at maybe 8-12%...you've no one to blame but yourself.
Oh...I've done the same many years ago...hoping the stock would go back up. But, "hope" isn't a plan.
Sorry to hear of your losses.

Looks like a huge drop with the first “gay” ad of two moms.
Like typical libs, they doubled down with two dads. Whoops.

No problem here. Starbucks coffee is awful, tastes burnt. IMO, people go there to look good to their peers, not to drink the coffee.
