She is the Tea Party diva who lit up the 2008 Presidential campaign.
But four years later Mitt Romney is facing one of the most vexing questions of his campaign: what to do with Sarah Palin?
In an increasingly uncomfortable stand-off, he has not invited her to next months Republican national convention whilst she has failed to give him her full backing.
--snip--
The result is that the Republican presidential candidate is left without the endorsement of a woman who can energise his base in a way he can only dream of.
The former Massachusetts governor - who is so emotionally cold friends reportedly call him Tin Man - is facing nagging questions about how he can appeal to the Tea Party which still feels he is a left wing flip flopper.
Palin would fill that role but would constantly be in danger of going rogue - and not sticking to the carefully crafted scripts.

The crux of the problem for Romney comes down to his relationship to the Tea Party - or lack thereof.
Quite simply Romney is not thought to be steely enough, not enough of a bruiser and pales into comparison with the woman who famously described herself as a Lipstick Pitbull.
His lack of willingness to defend himself - be it on his record at Bain Capital or his offshore bank accounts - is making him look weak.
Speaking to Newsweek, Jenny Beth Martin, head of the Tea Party Patriots, the largest of the activist groups, said: Romneys just not a fighter
Thats why it would be good for him to have someone like Palin speaking at the convention. He needs to do something to rile up his base, to make them enthusiastic. And I dont mean just the Tea Party.
I mean die-hard Republicans.'

Willard we know what to do with Governor Sarah Palin...
Our vexing question is what to do with you...
Ask Sarah to give the speech nominating Romney.
She'll do a great job; she'll be inspirational.
And the nominating speech won't upstage any of Romney's speeches. It will amplify his presence.
He needs to do something to rile up his base
***We are no longer the base. He and the GOP-E think they can win this election without conservatives. And he’s probably right, because Obama is a disaster of a president.
“Palins influence has waned from the days when a single posting on her Facebook page could change the political landscape.”
dream on
Where did you copy & paste that from?
>Where did you copy & paste that from?
My bad. Never mind.

He is. And, couldn't make less of difference if Palin speaks at the convention or not or whether he picks a pro-life VP.
Romney is a liberal and governs out of political expediency. A tiger is a tiger (remember that one Maha Rushie?) and Romney is what he is. Nothing is going to change Romney's true nature.
Thanks for the help. LOL
“He needs to do something to rile up his base, to make them enthusiastic. And I dont mean just the Tea Party.

He’s got the die-hard republicans. What’s he going to do about the die-hard Conservatives?
I think that Palin purposely took a step back from the limelight since last fall. She did not want to suck the oxygen away from the GOP primaries and the election campaign.
They are scared to invite her to speak at the convention because she could become the talk of the convention and Mitt would look weak next to her. It would remind the base once again what they are missing this election.
I am sure Palin will be given the chance to speak. If she wants to, the first thing she needs to do is to endorse the candidate and ask the campaign “What do you need me to do? I am ready to help in any way I can. “
She needs to ask him - why are you attacking me? Do you really think I’M the enemy?
