Actually she deserves to deliver the acceptance speech, but the GOP-e took care of that.

I'm a big fan of Sarah Palin but I'm not buying that.

She chose not to run for the nomination, therefore she does NOT deserve for it to be handed to her. Had she run, I believe she would have easily steamrollered to the nomination. Bachman, Cain, Santorum, Gingrich, etc., never would have gotten out of the gate. She would have won Iowa and perhaps even New Hampshire, which would have ended Romney's chances right there. Even if Romney won in New Hampshire, Sarah would have cleaned up on Super Tuesday.

Instead, Sarah decided not to run and the remaining conservatives elected death by circular firing squad - resulting in the nominee we have today. It's not a GOP-e conspiracy. It's us failing to rally around a conservative that could beat Romney. I was here during primary season. I saw the vitriol we had for fellow conservatives who did not support our own "favorite" candidate of the moment. While we were ganging up on Bachmann supporters, then Perry supporters, then Cain supporters, etc., etc., Mitt Romney was in the background biding his time. (Just like he is doing now with respect to Obama.)

I would love to still see Sarah speak at the convention but it's not her show anymore. If she fails to endorse Romney, one cannot blame Romney for not inviting her to speak. For if Sarah is not endorsing Romney, any convention speech from her has potential to do him harm.

Romney might not be our best case scenario but he's not stupid.

Additionally, I have never seen her say a single syllable about even wanting to run. She played it quite coy by maintaining a presence but never expressed a desire to re enter the political fray. She is ever ready to deliver a strong conservative message that many want to hear but so does our own Jim Robinson and many others here. None have a desire to run either.

It is my thought that she has been offered a non prime time speaking slot and perhaps refused it wanting a more prominent time. So far, that has not happened.

Although it pains me to say it....... Sarah was

Team Romney and the GOPe took Sarah out very early in the election cycle. It is all nicely documented. Sarah scares the crap out of the GOPe so no way was Sarah going to be allowed to run for the GOP nomination. I am pretty sure Sarah calls herself a conservative not a Republican. I doubt the lack of an invite upsets her much.
