On Al Sharpton's MSNBC show this evening, MSNBC contributor Richard Wolffe said he "might get into trouble" for saying that President George W. Bush has done a dignifed job of staying out of the limelight since leaving office. Was Wolffe being facetious? He seemed straight-faced.
Earlier, Chris Matthews counseled President Obama to explain his accomplishments to the American people "as if he were talking to a two-year old."

They march in lockstep.
Two-fer ping to Today show list.
I concur. The president CAN talk to 2 year olds. It’s intelligent adults he has a problem with.
I was recruited into military intelligence at 14, could join MENSA tomorrow, have worked in the Carter and Reagan administrations and have held vice-president level positions, unlike Chris “Peace Corps” Matthews. FUCM!
If anyone knows how 2 year olds think and act, it’s Matthews! He’s speaking from personal experience.
That is the mentality of self-appointed elitists. They know what is best for us and we are a bunch of idiots thagt need to be micromanaged.
What?! Are you serious, 2ndDivisionVet? This is amazing!
Chris should know it is impossible for a one year old to explain anything to a two year old.
But Chris, two-year-olds aren’t old enough to vote.
blew it in celebrity Jeopardy. BWHAHAHAHAHA.
You were recruited at 14? How did this happen? Is our military on the lookout for kids with high IQ tests?
Yes, I took the ASVAB in 9th grade and the recruiters kept tabs on me until I was 17 and could go into the delayed entry program as a junior. My first assignment was a an early-warning “hotline operator” (intelligence analyst) at I Corps G-2 writing the DMZ Report for President Carter and keeping track of the North Koreans on the demilitarized zone. Later, during the Reagan administration, I kept track of the several North Korean corps at 2nd infantry Division and was something of a Korea hand at 1st Cavalry and 5th Mech divisions.
I took the ASVAB at 14. I don’t know if they still do that. All 5 services hounded me through high school. My dad had been a career Marine, so I wanted to see something different. Didn’t think I’d like shipboard life and thought the Air Force was not the most military bunch, so that left the Army. A 128 GT score back then was pretty high, as I recall.
Wow, how interesting!
I remember you had issues you were dealing with during this last year - hope you’re dong well now.
Most 2 yr olds know more about economics than Obozo.
Pray for America
My wife finally got the transfer to the Dallas area that we’d been hoping for for years, but we’re just having a hard time scraping together enough to pay for it. Everything is getting outrageous nowadays with rent, deposits, renting a truck, etc.
Well at least when you get there the economy should be decent.
i keep thinking of Texas secedes from Obamaville that I’d move there - despite hating the landscape and the weather. I suppose you’d get used to it.
Congratulations on moving to a red state!
The weather is better in Dallas than it is here in Biloxi, plus rent is a little less and there is much more opportunity and things to do. We lived in Fort Worth before and now will be in Denton.
But mr. Matthews, how will we be able to tell the difference?
