Today United State Senate candidate from Missouri Sarah Steelman is proud to announce that she has earned the endorsement of former Governor and Vice Presidential Nominee, Sarah Palin. Steelman, whose willingness to fight the establishment has often drawn comparison to Governor Palin, believes this endorsement from such a strong conservative leader is evidence of her conviction to reform Washington D.C. and take back our country.
"I am deeply honored and humbled to have earned the endorsement of Governor Palin, whose willingness to stand up and fight for what is right, regardless of the political consequences, has blazed a trail for conservatives who believe as we do, that the status quo has got to go. I am ready to join Governor Palin and lead the fight in the Senate to restore fiscal discipline and speak truth to power by putting this country back into the hands of the people!" said Steelman.
Sarah Steelman requested Governor Palin's support at the onset of her campaign for US Senate. Today Governor Palin released the following statement in support of Sarah Steelman's campaign:
As we seek to fundamentally restore our great nation to strength and prosperity, we must send more commonsense conservatives to the U.S. Senate. We need sincere public servants who will fight for us, not the special interests and the permanent political class in Washington. Sarah Steelman will fight for all of Missouri and all of us, and that is why we must send her to D.C. this fall.
Sarah has run a grassroots campaign the way it should be run - handshake by handshake, voter by voter, farm to farm, not TV ad after TV ad...

OMG, no!
p.s. I love Sarah Palin but do not want Steelman as US Senator.
Why? I’m not familiar with Steelman.
I dont believe that she is a true conservative. Do you live in Missouri? I do.
No, I live in NC. I’m just curious about your views on her. Do you have specific information that makes her a bad candidate?
I have always liked Sarah Steelman and its good to see Sarah getting behind her.
I shall also use the "Romney" excuse to those who don't like her though, "At least she's not a Democrat!"
Sarah, you're blowing it here.
Given Palin’s endorsement of RINO Carly Fiorina over conservative Chuck DeVore in the California Senate race against Boxer, I do not consider her preferences a reliable indication of merit.
Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.
why not contact her - doubt she knows all the in’s and out’s that those who live in Missouri do.
Palin didn’t do her homework on this one. Steelman puts her personal agenda so far ahead of anything else that I don’t think she will do the hard work needed in Washington. That narcissistic streak is a perfect fit for a hard left turn one of these days, and soon.
I love Steelman. Met her a few months ago and was impressed.
I attended a Farm Bureau meet the candidate gathering last night. Todd Akin was the only Senate candidate and he sure sounded conservative to me. Aug. 7 is the primary and then we will know. Also got polled today on phone with question, “Who would you support, Claire Mccaskill or Republican opponent?” Wondered what that meant.
The Missouri GOP establishment doesn’t like Steelman. That sounds like a ringing endorsement to me.
I live in Missouri. We have three candidates running for the GOP nomination: Steelman, Todd Akin, and John Brunner. I’d vote for any of them over ObamaClaire McCaskill, of course. But I have not yet made up my mind as to which one I will vote for in the primary. Palin’s endorsement has no bearing on my decision one way or the other. The three candidates have had a couple of debates thus far, which I did not see. As we get closer to August 7, I will watch the video of those debates, look into it more, etc., and then decide. My default preference would be Akin, since he’s my congressman, but if one of the other two looks substantially better, I could be persuaded.
That's not to say anything bad about Akin. I would have no problem voting for him should he take the Primary.
The money problem in this State is the fact that our Governor, Jay Nixon (Dem) is raising ton$! Ma McCaskill is doing good as well in the fund raising dept. Will be a tough fight all the way up/down the ticket. Nothing is in the bag yet.
She plays dirty. Mark my words, she will turn hard left, because that’s what liberalism is all about.
