The Top Banks in the U.S.
Posted by Ann Barnhardt - July 16, AD 2012 7:01 PM MST

Here is the list of all of the banks in the U.S. that scored a PERFECT 0.0 on the "Texas Ratio" metric. Looking at the list, I actually know a couple of the banks in the central U.S., and thought to myself, "Yep. Not surprised to see them on the list. Good people."

I'm linking directly to the beginning of the list on page 2 of the story. The rest of the states are on page 3.

If you're looking to move your money into a good bank, here's a good list to start from, but remember, just moving into a good bank won't provide 100% security. No bank can protect you from hyperinflation.

Parenthetically, Obama announced today that his "second-term plan" is a massive increase in government spending, which is just more looting of the Treasury into the hands of his oligarch cronies. He used the Orwellian term "investment."

They are, without any question, executing the Cloward-Piven strategy of total economic and societal collapse in order to achieve complete dictatorial power.

Also, there is a real possibility that the Obama regime, being that its objective is fascism, will move to nationalize all banks. But, these banks on this list might give you more TIME.

.. Ding!

I’m using several lists to get this news out, so please forgive duplications, pass it on.

Article note:

Out of more than 7,300 banks in America, just 359 achieved a perfect Texas Ratio of 0.0. They are listed on the following pages, sorted by state (no banks qualified in Alaska, Hawaii, Maine, New Hampshire, South Carolina or Vermont).

Amusingly, more of the safest banks are in Texas than anywhere else.

Guess we learned something from the last go-round; most other people don’t seem to have.

After all, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. insures our deposits up to $250,000. Why worry?

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but the FDIC's Deposit Insurance Fund -- aka the money used to cover bank failures -- has been all but drained.

So? Congress will make sure it's funded, or else trigger the mother of all bank runs.

And that’s why I only keep enough in my checking and savings to pay bills plus some online shopping.

If I need to buy more online I load up an account.

Luckily, my dog somehow got a hold of my wallet last night and shredded my cards, my license, my gun Certifications and licenses, my quick passport card.

Worst part was the wallet. I can order all that other stuff shiny new but, the wallet was a Johnston & Murphy and it took me 6 years to wear this thing in.

Drove down to Johnston & Murphy to get another one and they were closed. I was agitated with a pile of plastic and money sitting on my console.

I thought “Hey, who cares anyway?”

Answer came back “No one”.

So I went to Marshalls and found a nice wallet for $4.95 and they had a real nice walking stick for the same price.

Not bad and the little guy who used my wallet for a nylabone has been real cooperative and real attentive since yesterday.

I didn’t do a thing to him cuz what are you gonna do? He’s still a puppy.

But, he is just plain been easy all day.

Long dumb story off...

With any luck some day we will one day see many more reports about the stability of local banks. That is one of the traits of a free banking era.

When we retire, the bank turns a lifetime of savings into income by paying us interest on money-market and savings accounts, and on certificates of deposit.

Maybe at the interest rates paid 10 years ago but not on today's rates.

Today you lose about 3% or more in purchasing power on deposits every year.

No bank can protect you from hyperinflation.

I'd be happy just to find one that would protect me from inflation. Every dollar I keep in a bank loses value.

Interesting...
The Indiana banks are one or two branch tiny operations, while Forethought is/was Hillenbrand’s Funeral Financing arm, until it was divested in 2004.

Now it’s an independent operation under the Hillenbrand umbrella.

Nobody, but nobody rings my bells as completely as Ann Barnhardt. If the internet sank and I could save just one site, it’d be hers.

Where’s “Fred’s Bank”?

“Hi, I’m Fred, I have a bank, you got $1500, I’ll put here … in my white suit. White suit pocket.”

Winter Hill Bank, Somerville

Where Whitey Bulger keeps his money?

No, with a name like that, they have to be really, really, really honest.
