She is the Tea Party diva who lit up the 2008 Presidential campaign.
But four years later Mitt Romney is facing one of the most vexing questions of his campaign: what to do with Sarah Palin?
In an increasingly uncomfortable stand-off, he has not invited her to next months Republican national convention whilst she has failed to give him her full backing.
Palin has also not appeared with the Romney on the campaign trail and prefers to use her Facebook page to bash Barack Obama.
The result is that the Republican presidential candidate is left without the endorsement of a woman who can energise his base in a way he can only dream of.
The former Massachusetts governor - who is so emotionally cold friends reportedly call him Tin Man - is facing nagging questions about how he can appeal to the Tea Party which still feels he is a left wing flip flopper.
Palin would fill that role but would constantly be in danger of going rogue - and not sticking to the carefully crafted scripts....

If he and his people were as smart as they think they are, the answer would be obvious: Pick her as running mate!! Can you imagine the first day's contributions?
They will never, ever, EVER forgive her for that.
Taken the conones of the Obamadork (none), add to it the cojones of Mittens RINOmney (almost immeasurable), multiply the sum by 10 million, and you get the cojones of Sarah.
It’s also interesting to note that she still has more leadership skills and experience in government than both of the above mentioned dorkheads.
We’re so screwed - having to choose between a incumbent felonious, cretinous vapid dork, and a mere vapid dork.
Such is the fate of a doomed country.
The fact that Romney is in a quandary about “what to do about” Sarah Palin shows that he was the WRONG choice for the GOP nominee.
Here’s hoping that the GOP does the right thing and tosses this klutz overboard at the convention. Doubt it will happen, but one can always hope.
Why would she want to do that? She would tell him to get stuffed.
I'm thinking he likes Condoleeza Rice. She's single and eligible as a sister-wife to Ann.
She wouldn’t accept anything from the man who was behind trashing her and HER FAMILY for four years.
I do not understand the headline. There is no problem with Sarah (Palin), unless you are a liberal.
Bump! One should always have hope!
That’s funny.
Hence, the mention of Mittens. ;)
I held my nose and voted for McLame because of Sarah, I won’t do it again. NOTHING will make me vote for Mittens
I’m voting for a conservative this election.
Regarding this ‘stand off’ - I think Mittens expects Sarah to ‘fall in line’ (like he thinks all women should) regardless of what he does, and I fear he is right.
Sadly, I expect her to cave and still not get the invite.
One thing is gor sure. Romney will not pick ANYONE who has not endorsed him.
I’m thinking he likes Condoleeza Rice. She’s single and eligible as a sister-wife to Ann.

She is also black and that would be a no-no according to LDS prophets.
Once again, romney is NOT a CINO or a RINO but is a socialist/liberal. Let’s keep it honest even though some can’t bear to read the truth about POS Romney - he is our obama given on the same plate the ‘rats where given him in ‘08.
Remember how stupid we thought they were and still do?
The problem (for Myth) is that Sarah hasn’t endorsed him. There is an expectation that Sarah will get people to vote for Mittens like they did McCain.
No, you pick Allen West as your running mate and let him hit the campaign trail with Sarah to shore up your "Right" flank.
I agree w/you with everything except I don’t think she will cave. She doesn’t need an invite to go to the Convention.
I hope she doesn’t but I have been consistently disappointed in the people who have caved and endorsed Mittens.
What quandary?
Sara Palin doesn’t hold political office and isn’t running for anything. She is now a media commentator.
It would be no more appropriate to for the GOP to invite Sara Palin to speak at the convention than it would be for the Dems to invite Andrea Mitchell.
