The relationship between the Jewish community and the Church of England has taken a downward turn following its decision to strengthen ties with an anti-Israel group.
The Jerusalem Post has learned that the Board of Deputies of British Jews has pulled out of meetings this week with Lambeth Palace, the official residence of the archbishop of Canterbury.
A motion is also set to be raised at the boards monthly meeting in which the deputies will call on the organization to sever all ties to the Church of England.
At its General Synod in York on Monday, the Churchs highest legislative body voted overwhelmingly to strengthen ties with the Ecumenical Accompaniment Program in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI), a group that supports the boycott, divestment and sanctions campaign against Israel and stands accused of having an anti-Israel stance and harboring a one-sided narrative.
EAPPI is a one-sided advocacy group promoting the Durban strategy of boycotts, divestment and sanctions against Israel, supporting the Palestinian claim of a right of return, which is code for ending Israeli sovereignty, and systematically ignoring continuous Palestinian terror attacks against Israeli civilianseach one a war crime, said Yitzhak Santis, the chief programs officer at NGO Monitor.

The Anglican church today is hardly anything but a leftist caricature of its old self.
what difference does it make? the CoE is dead on it’s feet...
But it’s still serving as a fount of anti-zionist bigotry. That’s what matters.

The C of E and the Amreican Episcopal Church are politically correct, post-Christian Churches.
My bet is the Archbishop of Canterbury is a homosexual.
Look at the moronic clan of inbred idiots - the Windsors - who are partially connected with its hierarchy.
Bastards.
Contrary to popular belief, the Anglican Church worldwide is THE largest Protestant denomination (yes, larger than Southern Baptists...) and is overwhelmingly orthodox and evangelical... and 2nd only to the Roman Catholic church in size (since the Eastern Orthodox churches are a collection of national & regional bodies, and not one body).
Due to successful long term missions efforts the bulk of Anglicans are now in Africa (60 million plus(?) and other parts of the developing world, and the African bishops are world-wide leaders in solid, biblical Christianity...directly challenging the tepid leadership of the admittedly very sick and small Church of England.
The Archbishop of Canterbury is basically an organizer of worldwide Anglicans—and does NOT function as a kind of pope, thankfully—given the extremely weak and ineffective example of that current leader of the Church of England, Rowan Williams.
England itself, like the rest of Europe (including and especially in traditionally Roman Catholic countries) has a very small percentage of active church goers (less than 5%). However, OF that group (of about 3 million(?)) as many as 1/3 are orthodox/evangelical....(which is a higher percentage than any American mainline Protestant church).
So the Church in England—even in the Church of England...is NOT dead, just very small, but plucky...and actually, growing.
The vitality and growth in the 3rd world of a strong and uncompromising Anglican Church should encourage those of us in the West, embarrassed say, of the Episcopal Church...which as a body (of around 700,000) is very sick and dying.
The “new” Anglicans in the USA, NOT affiliated with the Episcopal Church however, are a vital and growing group—now somewhere around 100,000.
