Who’ll Stop The Rain?
Long as I remember the rain been comin down.
Clouds of mystry pourin confusion on the ground.
Good men through the ages, tryin to find the sun;
And I wonder, still I wonder, who’ll stop the rain.
I went down virginia, seekin shelter from the storm.
Caught up in the fable, I watched the tower grow.
Five year plans and new deals, wrapped in golden chains.
And I wonder, still I wonder who’ll stop the rain.
Heard the singers playin, how we cheered for more.
The crowd had rushed together, tryin to keep warm.
Still the rain kept pourin, fallin on my ears.
And I wonder, still I wonder who’ll stop the rain.
Clear Lake Area. No flooding but the rain is still falling. I figure as soon as the NAACP leaves the weather will get better!
Does anyone have a shot from the same vantage point of the Romney address? Somethinng tells me those seats were filled when he was speaking...
Most of the buildings in downtown Houston, including the convention center and the hotels, are connected to a large network of air-conditioned, underground walkways. Basically you can walk just about anywhere downtown in air conditioned comfort without ever going outside.
Rain is irrelevant.
Wrong, the attendees were required to have a state or federal issued photo ID.
A little rain to blame? The NAACP, like those they claim to represent, have no real commitment.
If it had been Sarah Palin speaking, I would have crawled over broken glass wearing tropical shorts and t-shirt in a raging blizzard.
Well, maybe not that extreme. But the wife and I along with over 20,000 others drove to a windy and dusty southern NV gravel pit to see and hear Sarah.
“Rain is being blamed for low attendance”
Yeah, everybody knows how much black folks hate getting rained on. Oh, wait! That’s WITCHES, not black folks. Never mind.
Perhaps if they offered to pay your utility bills?
