TROOPATHON AIMS TO SEND CARE PACKAGES TO TROOPS OVERSEAS 5th ANNUAL FUNDRAISER BY MOVE AMERICA FORWARD BRINGS TOGETHER PRO-TROOP MOVIE STARS, MUSICIANS, RADIO AND TV PERSONALITIES
Move America Forward, the nation's largest pro-troop grassroots organization, is preparing to host their 5th star-studded live fundraiser that helps send care packages to American troops deployed in war zones overseas. "Troopathon" is an 8 hour long fundraiser that brings together movie stars, TV personalities, elected officials, musicians, talk radio hosts and many other pro-troop celebrities to encourage viewers to sponsor care packages for the troops online through the group's website (www.troopathon.org). Executive Producer Melanie Morgan said, "This event is very important in how it brings together so many popular actors, personalities, foreign policy experts, and retired military personnel for one event. The big names are exciting, but the cause we come together to support is incredibly important. With over 130,000 troops on the ground in Afghanistan, we cannot forget their service and sacrifice." Morgan will be joined by guest co-hosts J.D. Hayworth and Dana Loesch and Gold-Star Mom Debbie Lee, whose son Marc Lee was the first US Navy SEAL to be killed in the Iraq war. As in recent years, the Troopathon guest list features big-name celebrities Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, Dr. Laura, Former President George H.W. Bush, Gary Sinise, Kelsey Grammar, John Ondrasik, Mike "Coach K" Krzyzewski, Sarah Palin, Dennis Miller, and many more. It should be noted that this year's Troopathon is also being dedicated to the memory of the late Andrew Breitbart who participation in the past four Troopathon's and never ending support for the troops will never be forgotten and deserves recognition. You can read Debbie's article posted at Breitbart today.
Troopathon V: "Never Forget our Troops" will be produced and broadcast live from the former U.S. Army Depot in Sacramento, California on Thursday July 12, 2012 from 1-9PM PST via the web www.troopathon.org and simulcast on selected radio stations. The Depot, opened in the 1940's, is now a commercial facility. The first Troopathon in 2008 raised an unprecedented $1.5 million in care packages for the troops.
