I think it is about time to put our foot down. Not quite sure how we do it though.

If this is for real, forget airports - they will be installed at grocery stores, post offices, sports stadiums, bus stations- you name it - Cowardly New World is here.

If this report is true, then should be no problem locating IEDs in the field.

I’ve been telling people for a few years already that gun rights will soon be a moot point. This is the proof. When they start mounting these things on light poles and telephone poles along with cameras(that can ID you from your face) on every pole, your puny antiquated little guns won’t mean SHIT. If they scan something on you they don’t like, they will instantly revoke your gun “privileges” and issue a warrant for your arrest. Then the drones will swoop in and tazer your ass from 30 feet above your head and wait for a paddy wagon to come hog tie you and haul you to a detention center.

Mark my words. It is less than 20 years away.

Just try to shine a damned laser at one of them and see what happens.

Just for the record right now this is vapor ware. I was involved in some of the Terahertz testing for a conceptual proof of application. While the goal is as stated in the article, no one was having much success. And I gurantee that mid-ir or even Thz wave lengths will not be travelling 50 meters and remain unscattered.

The fact that money is being spent on this should in fact scare everyone

The machine is a mobile, rack-mountable system. It fires a laser to provide molecular-level feedback at distances of up to 50 meters in just picoseconds. For all intents and purposes, that means instantly.

Just think of the money to be made marketing a personal detector for these things and then there is the APP for reporting the location of the sensor/user.

Ah yes! a whole new industry is about to be born! Halleleu-YAH! We are saved through technology. /sarc

I insist on at least a kiss and a good, stiff drink... in exchange for such intimate contact. However, names remain optional.
