A new, controversial question now appears on the most recent Firearms Transaction Record Part I Over-the Counter (A.K.A. Form 4473), which must be filled out by anyone purchasing a firearm from a Federal Firearm Licensee, meaning a gun shop or other licensed dealer.
Every person completing this form must now, under a new question 10.a, either confirm or deny whether they are Hispanic/Latino. Failure to do so will cause potential criminal prosecution and a denial of Second Amendment Rights.
What if the ethnicity question demanded Jew or Not a Jew? Would that ethnicity question be acceptable? Like the Hispanic/Latino question, it is offensive and not necessary. It has nothing whatsoever to do with ones qualification to purchase a gun.

Sounds like “racial profiling” (With a dash of stereotyping thrown in.) to me.
This is what they get for wanting off the leftist plantation.
Too bad they couldn’t get any of the F&F guns when they were being given away for free.
And what is supposed to count as “Hispanic.” Someone fresh from Spain? Half breed American Indian/Mexican?
“A new, controversial question now appears...”
NO it doesn’t. Wait until tomorrow.
WTF is wrong with these people?
The gun laws, as implemented, mostly make no logical sense.
A demographic entity that defies definition. Apparently includes South Americans of Indian ancestry bearing Spanish surnames, such as George Zimmerman’s mother.
I doubt the veracity of this story.
I stand corrected. I Googled the form and line 10a asks that question. Heh. Serves the little tattooed criminals right.
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
As if Mexican gang bangers were the only people with ancestors hailing to old sunny Spain who wished to get guns here, or had a reason to...!
Maybe there is a lesson to be learned here.
Take a position, never waver and use whatever tools are at your command to accomplish your goal.
If only a handful of politicians on the side of liberty would adopt those principals, we would be a lot better off in short order.

Looks like the check box has been on the form since this 2005 revision .. 10a is new and asks the same question ?
Hmmmm...

Stay safe...
If “white” Hispanics aren’t allowed to have guns, I guess plain, old vanilla whites shouldn’t be allowed to have them either.
Of course Asians can’t be allowed to have guns, what with their bad eyesight and all. Besides that, they might use them against some thugs robbing one of their stores.
I wonder what ethnicity should have guns...I wonder.
This Obama’s secret method to win over all Cuban voters here in Miami.
I agree - sheer brilliance, Bammy!
This is outrageous, anybody who supports freedom should be upset. Once a person becomes a legal citizen why they should be questioned like that?
