A new, controversial question now appears on the most recent Firearms Transaction Record Part I Over-the Counter (A.K.A. Form 4473), which must be filled out by anyone purchasing a firearm from a Federal Firearm Licensee, meaning a gun shop or other licensed dealer.
Every person completing this form must now, under a new question 10.a, either confirm or deny whether they are Hispanic/Latino. Failure to do so will cause potential criminal prosecution and a denial of Second Amendment Rights.
What if the ethnicity question demanded Jew or Not a Jew? Would that ethnicity question be acceptable? Like the Hispanic/Latino question, it is offensive and not necessary. It has nothing whatsoever to do with ones qualification to purchase a gun.

What if they asked if a person was black? Jesse and the other poverty pimps would be screaming their heads off - hell, blacks don’t even want to show a picture ID to vote - like all the rest of us are going to have to do...
FFL’s were instructed to begin using the new form on July 9. Monday morning, I threw my old stack of forms in the trash and started using the old form. The reaction of customers so far has been pretty universal . . . “WTF?” . . .
SOrry, I meant to say I started using the NEW form.
Guess I’ll have to start claiming I’m Latino.
I don’t ever give them my SSN either.
There’s no check box for ‘other’ in 10b?
And why is gender just Male/Female? What about SHIM’s and IT’s?
(I’m losing it...)
But thats racist!
You mean, other than they're not "people"?
There’s always been a question asking what race/ethnicity a person is, with a check box to select one. Are they saying now there’s an additional question just asking if a person is Hispanic? That would seem too obvious. And racist to single out just one group.
To be honest from my recollection the form has always had that as an option. Haven’t filled one out in awhile but it doesn’t look unusual. Besides they should have their own category, other than being lumped into “white” which is European ancestry as opposed to carribean/central/south American ancestry.
It’s a pick your check box question - there is a check box for black.
Those same boxes are on C&R License Application and have been there as long as I can remember (I've had a C&R since 2001, I ♥ the ATF) and also for a FFL Dealer License Application form. Those same boxes are now on every state gubmint form, and even on the yearly update form at your Doctor's Office (just filled out one Monday).
Understand. I don't see the need for them or think they should be there. It's just another data point for the FedGov to enter into their database on all of us. Like the intrusive Census questions now asked.
Then again, if enough Hispanics and Blacks start legally buying guns the FedGuv will start FUNDING our firearm purchases. Like they do for housing, food, FREE Cell phones, Abortions -- and all our other 'rights'. /s
Yeah agree.... Yet I see a 10 on the current form but no 10a on the current form. It no doubt makes buying with a 4473 a racist act under liberal socialist race card distrubutors executive order that Precedent Erkel Mugabe will sign.
Or ... Dare we say the batfag-e’s are racist to demand such from our little messkin friends ?
Don’t really need race sex or religion info do we ?
Ahh, if it’s the same for everyone I don’t care...
That same Google search took me to the ATF site, where you can fill out the form online, to “help” avoid omissions and mistakes
