Doesn't sound like Putin will be willing to let Syria fall to the Sunni Islamists.

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve seen this reported a number of times. Just how many warships does Russia have either down there or own the way? Must be fifty by now. Must be close to 50,000 troops too.

Russia sends warships to Syria

Call me crazy but I doubt very much this would be happening, or even talked about, if Dubya' were still POTUS.

Russia is getting in the middle of something they might regret. I think the Russian people are getting real tired of the ruling class there now.

Well, at least we have no need to be nervous during perilous times with the proven commander-in-chief and his accompanying brain trust we have representing us in Washington, D.C.

And why wouldn’t he?

Putin has already taken the measure of Obama, and found him lacking.

The Chinese are sending troops to Syria as well as the Russians. And, part of the Russian troop allocation includes Kazakhs and Belorussians.

Here is the anti-war viewpoint. This web site was anti-Iraq war back in the day and they have kept their anti-war credentials. Unlike most US progressive liars. This article is good because it slams Hillary exactly how she should be slammed.

All for show. Putin is posturing just like when he poses for his faggy shirtless beefcake photo ops. The Russian ships won't deter any western action, because the West will not act without Russia's permission. Libya was bombed because Russia didn’t veto the no fly zone at the UN. The Russians have already met with the Syrian rebels and has now invited them to have a meeting in Russia. They wouldn't even bother to meet them if they didn't plan to make a deal with them. Putin has cut off Assad's weapons supplies. It's only a matter of time now until the genocidal islamofascist Assad joins his fellow Baath Socialist Saddam in Hell.

Be kinda weird if it’s Vladimir Putin, formerly of the KGB, who keeps the world safe from the jihadis.

The Russians have apparently unloaded the Syrian Hind helos at Kaliningrad?

Syria-Bound Helicopters Unloaded at Russian Port

MOSCOW — Three refurbished Russian attack helicopters have been removed from the Alaed, a transport ship that was delivering them to Syria, the Russian news agency Interfax reported Friday. Interfax quoted an unnamed source saying that the trio of Mi-25 helicopters had been offloaded at the port of Baltiisk, in the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad on the Baltic Sea. “Three helicopters were unloaded from the Alaed during a brief stay at Baltiisk. The helicopters are likely to be moved to the 150th Aircraft Repair Plant in the town of Lyublino-Novoye outside Kaliningrad, where they will be kept, pending other decisions,” the source told Interfax.

The Interfax report did not say when the helicopters had been removed from the ship. Earlier reports indicated that the Alaed had departed Baltiisk on July 18, sailing in a northwestern direction. The ship’s owner told Interfax that the ship would sail to St Petersburg, where it would take on additional cargo, and then continue on to the Far East. Last week Russia said it would freeze arms sales and deliveries to Syria while the conflict there escalates.
