BOSTON (AP) A federal appeals court has upheld a ruling dismissing a lawsuit filed by a Massachusetts woman whose son was killed during a botched robbery at a New Hampshire Army surplus store.
The 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals found that the owner of the gun used in the July 2007 shooting at the Army Barracks store in Conway, N.H. was not negligent.

People should not be held liable for criminal acts of others. The case should never have been brought.

Wow, she really must have been 110% convinced that the grandfather was somehow to be held liable simply because he was a gun owner.
She ran with that ball all the way to Federal court.
Hard to believe - in a way - that her lawyer advised her to continue this course of action.
Sounds like a NE anti gun, anti 2nd liberal who runs to the courts to find a jurist to ram her progressive agenda through.
I'm certainly not unsympathetic to her loss, but her action needs to be directed away from the Brady bunch path, and towards the criminal who murdered her son.
Perhaps she could sue his educators. I might back that!
- Think about it...

Sounds like a NE anti gun, anti 2nd liberal who runs to the courts to find a jurist to ram her progressive agenda through. I am guessing that some group like the Brady bunch found her and convinced her that the grandfather needed to be punished and that gun owners needed to be made to secure there guns so that this would never happen again.
Ideas like this do not just occur to normal people and normal people do not have the funds to take cases to the Federal appeals court.

Massholes and New Yorkers (especially those SOB’s) have ruined NH...absolutely ruined it. Most conservatives have fled or are dying in nursing homes.

An ambulance chaser pushed her along in this fruitless endeavor, seeing potential riches in a vast new field of billable clients. As for suing the mope's educators...not even in jest. Please don't feed the vermin. Ambulance chasers are numerous enough, and well fed as it is.

NH isn’t ruined (yet) and certainly not all conservatives are gone or dying.

Gail Jones should now be sued for the expenses, time, and triple punative damages by the people she sued to start with.

Loser should pay in these lawsuits. That would put an end to the stupid ones. Sure you can attempt to sue anything you like, but you are going to be paying for it, if you lose.

Fox News She wants justice for the il/LEGAL shooting of her daughter.
You just can't make this crap up....

NH should have “loser pays,” as TX does. Wise up. The leech lawyers won’t be too eager to take ridiculous cases such as this.
