Justice Department (DOJ) officials indicted five individuals for the death of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry who was murdered by drug traffickers armed through Operation Fast and Furious and a $1 million reward for information leading to their arrest.
Agent Terry served his country honorably and made the ultimate sacrifice in trying to protect it from harm, and we will stop at nothing to bring those responsible for his murder to justice, Attorney General Eric Holder said today. This investigation has previously resulted in one defendant being charged with Agent Terrys murder and taken into custody, and todays announcement reflects the departments unrelenting commitment to finding and arresting the other individuals responsible for this horrific tragedy so that Agent Terrys family, friends and fellow law enforcement agents receive the justice they deserve.
Terrys death sparked a national scandal when House investigators learned that U.S. law enforcement facilitated the arming of his shooters through the gun-walking scheme, Operation Fast and Furious. The Justice Department wrote a letter in February 2011 to Congress denying that law enforcement knowingly allowed guns to be trafficked into Mexico. That claim was retracted in December of that year.
Two weeks ago, the U.S. House of Representatives cited Holder for contempt of Congress due to his refusal to hand over documents pertaining to Operation Fast and Furious. Holder is the first sitting cabinet member cited for contempt.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
You betcha he is. He has a lot of covering up to do.
I know where they can find H0lder, Big Sis and Zer0....
Are any DOJ agents listed as accessories to murder? Who allowed the guns to walk in the first place?
Who set the rules of engagements for the agents to use beanbags as ammo?
Nahhhh...
“Justice Department (DOJ) officials indicted five individuals for the death of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry “
For 1 brief second I hoped that it would be holder, obama and 3 others from the doj for whom the indictments were issued. For 1 brief second, I hoped that they were going to go after the real people who were responsible for agent Terry’s murder.
Arrest HOLDER. ....NOW!
Didn’t they already have a murderer once or twice that they “released” in this Fast and Furious case?
Were they:
Eric Holder,
Janet Napolitano,
Ken Melson,
Joe Biden, and
Barack Hussein Obama (mmm mmm mmm)?
19 months after the incident?
This is pure CYA.
Ping...
One of the men charged with first-degree murder, Manuel Osorio-Arellanes, was arrested the night of the December, 2010 shooting. Four others remain at large.
"...Except turn over the documents that show how we tried to cover this up, or who thought of this lame-brained idea in the first place"
Took the words right off my keyboard. Precisely what is happening....CYA.
CYA and grandstanding. Spend a million $ of taxpayer money to look like they are all over it. Boy, do they know how to game the system or what?
Symbolism over substance...again....
I was wondering the SAME thing...did they arrest themselves?
Unfortunately, we all know the answer to that question
This is to open an actual criminal case so that further disclosure of “evidence” cannot be made to Congress or anyone.
Hopefuly some brave (choke) Mexican prosecutor will indict “John Doe” Justice Dept Co-Conspirators who allowed and/or authorized guns to walk.
Why waste $1 Mil taxpayer money?
Anybody can point to the persons responsible.
