We don’t whine about who you all give to and we really don’t care so... try doing something constructive instead of crying and whining all day long. Must be exhausing to spend so much time on that kind of thing huh? Perhaps that’s why you (the libs) are so unhappy and cranky all the time.

Sure. We had the old “Blue Laws” which closed any store other than food, gas, etc., stores on Sunday’s. A Walmart, K-Mart, Sears, the mall, etc. could not be open today under those laws back then. We still had them here in Alabama in the 1960s. Sunday, you could forget it going shopping. Not today. When I was in the Army in Germany, the German stores were all closed on Saturday and Sundays, except one half-day on Saturday once a month. They were never open on the weekends. That was still for people’s family time. Not work.
Forbes reported that the owner is a "devout Baptist" and insists that all his restaurants close on Sunday to give an opportunity to all employees who want to, to attend church and he also believes in all of the commandments.
In the same edition, Forbes also reported that he was losing $500,000,000 per year by closing on Sunday. That shows you how much Forbes knows, he isn't losing anything but gaining much.
The HRC (Homo Reich Crusade) publishes a "buyer's guide." If you can stomach going to their website, it's actually a pretty good list for guidance. Exxon earns a NEGATIVE for oil companies, so that's where I buy my gas.

It's not a vendetta, it's 'consumer choice', and too many businesses forget that we have it. I like your ideas, and the more of us who incorporate them when WE shop, the more businesses might start considering us.
I work for a national chain, in a division that sells decorative and functional items for the home. We are ALWAYS reminded that good customer service is VITAL to our existence. We are encouraged to smile at customers, and greet them, even if we're just walking through the store, on our way to and from the break room or bathroom, or whatever! Acknowledge their existence, and give them a smile; it may be the ONLY one they receive while they're out and about today, and they WILL remember it!
I live in MA, but I'm from the South, and customers from time to time will tell me that they could tell I'm from the South. I'll ask, "because of my accent?", and they say, "No, because you're pleasant." LOL. Folks here do tend to be a little 'short', as they say, with customers, and just anyone, so I guess I DO stand out.
We have them here in northern Illinois, but I'll assume you wouldn't want to make a foray behind enemy lines into the Peoples Republic.

I watched an episode of The Glass House on TV the other day. Typical trash reality show, but I was bored. There is a flamboyantly gay guy on there. I do find it interesting to see how the straight people react to him. Well, in this episode, he got into a conversation with another contestant named Andrea who happens to be a Mormon. He asked her about her views on gay marriage, and she was honest with him that it goes against her religious beliefs that marriage is between a man and a woman. She told him that she doesn’t judge him or look down on him, but she just can’t support the gay marriage position.
This really set him off, so he spent the rest of the episode trying to convince the other house guests that they needed to send her to “Limbo” because she is a bigot. There was backlash against him, with one straight guy actually voting to send his own hookup/girlfriend to Limbo instead of the Mormon girl.
I kept thinking that the thing nobody talks about is that if someone is a Christian or Mormon, they most likely belong to a church that teaches that homosexuality is a sin. This woman was actually theologically correct in her response to the guy. She told him that being gay wasn’t a sin, but acting on his gay tendencies is. It hit me that the only way you can be a Christian and not face the ire of the guys is if you abandon your church’s teaching on homosexuality. In other words, fake Christians are okay, but real Christians are bad.
Gays who have that belief are anti-Christian zealots. Nothing more.

I grew up in small town U.S.A., everything closed on Sunday. If you absolutely had to have a prescription filled on Sunday, you called the pharmacist/owner of the drug store, he would go to the store, fill your prescription, bring it to your house and put it on your bill if you asked him to, if he timed the delivery right he might stay for dinner too.
The doctor in the town delivered me and three of my brothers and sisters at home. My older brother, born in 1937 cost $30, I have the receipt for that one.
Ha ha, well I travel to Chicago on business occasionally anyhow, and it's not like I'm in much better shape near DEEtroit and all the union sheeple.

Forbes didn't figure the unseen 10 million extra customers who spend $50 per year because they admire the company's business model.
There is also the hidden benefits to that come with a company that adheres to traditional values - friendly, polite employees who are off every Sunday, cleanliness, great customer service and knowing that your money isn't going to support American hating, anti-God leftist causes.
Chick-fil-A seems to be doing rather well, despite any Forbes propeller-head math.

Thing about solar and wind is both have their limitations, but when ussd together can be effective. I don’t think solar is justified yet, financially, but I confess my main motivation is not money. It’s the best way to have power “at all” if we end up with a real SHTF event. Also, if we end up with hyperinflation it could suddenly become very cost effective - if you already have it.

Amen. This gentleman KNOWS where his riches are and they are not of this earth. His riches in reward will be in Heaven at the Bema Seat before Jesus Christ. Amen to that.
