Has anyone noticed the number of unpopular causes the Mainstream Media is pursuing to it's detriment.
It used to be that the media made money by attracting as many viewers as possible to it's advertisers. But lately, it seems the media is doing just the opposite. It seems to repel and disgust its viewers rather than attract them to its advertisers (and profits).
Gay rights is popular with the Left, but not with mainstream America. Increasing Taxes, also a meme which the media promotes, is also grossly unpopular in the United States. This July 4th, the media was rampant with Anti-Americanisms promoting racism (also hugely unpopular) without citing it's dead wrongness (White mans independence day).
And I read reports of shrinking viewers, layoffs within the media, and media corporations selling at a loss.
What would happen if the media took popular views to attract viewers to its advertisers once again?
They would become successful, like Rush, Hannity, fox NEws, GBTV, etc. etc etc
I’d settle for the media just reporting the truth.

It wouldn’t even matter if they were popular views but if they just reported the facts, dispassionately and forgot about editorializing everything.
The DLEMM - Dominant Liberal Establishment Mass Media - does not represent mainstream America. Referring to those hacks as “Mainstream”(sic) is foolish.
Communists do not care about profit....they will spread their venom until bankruptcy....which I hope is near!!!!
The Left is just expressing how they have always felt. With Obama in office they feel confident enough to do such regardless of the consequences. They are mental midgets and live more on emotion than logical thought (similar to spoiled, bratty children). Combine that with their arrogance and it is a recipe for disaster for them.
It is actually a very good thing to see their facade come down and show their true colors to all who can stand to watch it. America is growing more conservative everyday and the Left helps that along by showing those true colors.

The media does not just report and analyze anymore, if they ever did. Now it’s all about pushing liberalism.
The media has been pushing homosexual marriage, global warming, Obamacare, among others.
Did all of you celebrate Gay Marriage Week, along with the MSM? How much did the media report Obama’s position on homosexual marriage, vs. how much did they laud him for bravery, history making pronouncements, and all that???
The business model for news is broken. They are in the slide to obscurity just as slide rule manufacturers faded away in the seventies, and vinyl record making in the early eighties.
Nothing can forestall the switch to gathering news from bloggers and ordinary citizens posting on social networks and video hosting sites.
They have nothing to lose and they know it.

Indeed. Walk down the corridors of the failing bird-cage-liner press oligarchies and you’ll be bedazzled by a seemingly endless row of communistic Pulizer prizes hung on the wall. And at the end of this row appears (or will soon appear) a large, glowing, sparkling certificate of Chapter 11, followed by an even larger, brighter certificate of Chapter 7. Of course, no one is around any more to see any of this, the power has been cut off to the building, and the wrecking ball is knocking the building down, but hey, C’est la vie!, at least in the post-Internet world when many voices of truth can now be heard instead of only the lying voices of the elitist left. Apparently folks would rather hear the truth for free instead of paying for bundles of lies delivered to their doorsteps

Thank God that, at least for now, these Progressive media views remain unpopular with the majority of Americans. I pray enough of them are raising their children with the same solid values, because our older, more traditionally-minded generations are rapidly aging and dying and our children are being propagandized from kindergarten through graduate school and soon their generations will be running things.
To the question of what would happen if the MSM took the more popular stances on issues to boost their ratings/success, they won’t because they can’t help themselves - they’re hopeless left-wing idealogues who have SO much invested in b. Husseinn that they adoringly take their walking orders from the WH
