I think he’s correct.
If 51 senators need to vote yea, then there needs to be a 60+ repub majority to offset the rinos. Unlikely.

Why don't you read this:
"Earlier this week, according to WHAS-TV in Louisville, you predicted that it will be a lot harder to repeal President Obamas health-care law. Why is that the case?
Well, I dont know how they got that comment out of what I had to say.
Let me give you my view, clearly and unambiguously. Repeal of Obamacare will be the first item up in the Senate if I am majority leader. If we have a president who will sign the bill, we will do everything we can to get it off the books, and well be looking for every angle that could be pursued. There has been a lot of talk about reconciliation. The Chief Justice said this is a tax, and we take him at his word, so that certainly makes this eligible for reconciliation. But that may not be the only avenue that we pursue. Our goal will be to get it off the books. In my view, it is the single worst piece of legislation that has been passed in modern times, and Ive said that on numerous occasions. Its still my view. And just because the Supreme Court has decided it is constitutional doesnt mean its the right thing to do."

How did people like McConnel and Bonehead become the power brokers? in the, Rino I mean, Republican Party?
Kind of reminds me of small towns where the insiders push a doofus for Mayor. For the purposes of getting away with all kinds of shenanigans.

What do you expect from a Republicrat? Giving up before we even start - that’s their way. It’s really very easy - repeal the tax and don’t fund the bureaucracy.

I don’t understand Mitch’s contention that the bill will be hard to repeal because it’s “2,700 pages long.” What does that have to do with its anti-Constitution dictates and its violation of religious freedom?
I’m getting very tired of receiving at least 3 pieces of correspondence per day from legislators asking for money to DO THEIR JOBS.
Mitch, if you think the task is too formidable, step down and let an enthusiastic conservative attack the problem.
By the way, thanks for providing the left with an excellent sound byte to use in the future. Contending a task is nearly impossible before the battle begins is a great way to invigorate the opposition.

None of the elites want it repealed. Big corporations want full on socialized medicine.
I don’t see this changing.

If it can't be repealed then defund it or make the tax penalty so minimal that it becomes irrelevant.

Replicans need to work hard to get rid of Rino’s in 2014.... McConnell and Graham would both be high on my list!
To: IbJensen
it's hard to unravel something of the magnitude of the 2,700-page health care law
Repeal the whole thing.
Start over.
Do it in segments.
That way, even Nancy Pelosi will know what is in the individual bills.

If I may borrow from your post....
What's really hard... is understanding why republican members of both the house and senate continue to elect people like him and bonehead their leaders.

THIS is why his later lie posted above means nothing... like his candidate romeny... he is a man of many faces and many statements. He can be whatever he needs to appear to be... until he goes to work. Then he is a spineless, lying coward.

For them everything is hard or impossible or not dignified or will cause criticism. Compare this to Pelosi’s, “we will go under the fence, over the fence, any way possible...”. Team Pelosi will never quit no matter how obviously wrong they are.

Dear Senator
You are being interviewed for a good job. Can you honestly do the job we need in the time required.
To: IbJensen
Do your best Mr. McConnell, because we are watching.

It will definitely hard when we have a spineless, gutless RINO leading the fight!

McConnell’s attitude reflects the attitude of the caucus. You change the makeup of the caucus, you change what is pressuring McConnell in the background. This means it is essential to make sure people like Mourdock are elected in Indiana...him replacing Lugar in the caucus would make a difference...but we need more than that...we need to take the majority as well to even have a shot.
It is difficult to undo something once it is started of this magnitude. We know from experience that is spot on accurate. It is up to us to change the make-up of the Congress - especially the Senate - if we are to have any hope of undoing this, then once this victory is achieved, we must then really pour on the pressure to get it moving. That’s the reality we face.
To: IbJensen
What are YOU doing to make it possible? Harry Reid runs the Senate.

Mitch is a no-ball, elitist, go-along-get-along appeasing, aisle crossing, chickenassed RINO bastard...
