A former FBI employee sent to the Flight 93 crash site on September 11, 2001 has claimed she saw a legion of angels guarding the scene when she arrived.
Lillie Leonardi has made the bizarre claims in a book written after she retired from the FBI due to post-traumatic stress disorder which began after the terror attacks.
In the book, she explained she arrived at the still-smouldering scene three hours after terrorists hijacked the passenger jet and it crashed into a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Could have been the spirits of those who instantly died at the site. I mean, I believe in angels too but a lot of souls were lost there.
I always wondered if there would be any spiritual and paranormal activity taking place at the site. I live near Pittsburgh and there is a side of me that would love to go camp there for the night and see for myself. Generally where there were tragic deaths and so on, there are reports of paranormal activity. With so many souls passing that day, I’m sure there is a lot of energy at that site.
I’d tie a demon presence to the hijackers. Not to more normal citizens who perished.
My only question is why would angels be guarding this site. Death is final and your ultimate destination is instantaneous upon death.
And what would these angels be wanting to try to prevent?
There are evil angels too.
As I posted on another thread: “Angels protecting a holy site from the forces of the Moon God.
And, a possessed hijacker who perished would leave a demon or demons with no place to go, so it or they would futilely hang around.
She’s trying to sell a book.
Maybe those angels would have been better off going to Washington where they were planning the silly crescent memorial.
Beat me to it.
It’s an Islamic victory design designating their “win” over the west.
That’s ok. Airline accidents use the same nomenclature as sea vessel accidents—referring to the number of souls on board.
I always thought it was odd, but it’s accurate.
All I know is from a couple of experiences it could very well have been spirits of those who had died. One of them was a dream of a phone call from a 29 year old healthy cousin telling me he had died. I awoke in the empty house quite startled because I never dream of death especially that of a family member. And when I did wake up the phone was ringing. It was my mom calling me to tell me that my cousin (the same one I dreamed about calling me only a moment before)had passed away. His death was unexpected and a shock to the whole family.
Once upon a time I lost an argument with an AK-47 in south east asia. While I was bleeding on the battlefield, I say and angle, that angle told me I would be OK ... lo and behold I made it.
If this person said she saw an angle, I believe her. Why the angles were there is not something within my purview.
“Shes trying to sell a book.”
Sadly, I agree.
I believe in God and I believe in angels. Most angels of the Bible didn’t have wings and look like angels figurines at the drugstore.
And if she didn’t have this to add to her story, who would want to buy the book? No one. The book would be ... I went to the scene and there was basically nothing.
She also claims to suffer form Post Traumatic Stress Disorder because she showed up at the scene a few hours after emergency personnel. It’s the families that suffer from the PTSD. They’re the ones that have really suffered.
Do I believe in angels? Absolutely. I am I buying her book? No way.
I’d love to see an Angel Figurine collection based on the descriptions of the Bible.
Two excellent books on angels were written by ......
Billy Graham and Dr. David Jeremiah. You should check them out.
And my sentence should have read ....
“Most angels of the Bible didnt have wings “OR” look like angels figurines at the drugstore.”
I should have had “OR” instead of “AND.”
Sorry.
