'I'm a eat you': Crazed naked man high on bath salts threatens to eat police officers as they try to

Newest 'cannibal': Karl Laventure apparently told police he wanted to eat their faces

Laventure appeared out of some woods and was seen running naked around a golf range near Atlanta, swinging a club around his head and screaming.

At first, they tried using pepper spray to stop him, but that left him undeterred.

'He didn't even wipe his eyes, he just kept them open,'

They then turned to their Tasers and though that momentarily shocked Laventure to the ground, it did not stop him.

Trouble: It took several police officers a significant amount of effort to subdue Karl Laventure when he was allegedly high on bathsalts

'We had to Tase him approximately five more times on scene to get him down. It took several officers to hold him down to get him cuffed,'

He was still talking gibberish, cussing, saying he wanted to eat us, other people

The video shows him talking about the deceased rappers Biggie and Tupac, making animal sounds, and continuing to threaten the police officers.

Strong: Police sprayed him with pepper spray and shocked him with a taser five times before they were able to get him on the ground

Interrupted: Witnesses saw a naked Laventure running around the Atlanta Golf Center on June 14 'making animal noises'

Among other things he said "I'm'a eat you. I'll eat you, I don't want to eat you but I will,"

Though they controlled him enough to force him to a nearby hospital, he attacked one of the nurses on the scene and another fight ensued.

There have been a number of 'cannibal' incidents linked to bath salts in recent weeks.

Back from Walmart. Now I get to pay bills. *gack*

I always sigh with relief when the last bill is paid. Then I start to worry if I’ll have enough money to last the next 3.5 weeks! LOL!

But the big stuff is out of the way, and what I buy after this is small stuff like yogurt, milk and instant breakfast.

I did NOT eat this morning! I wanted no accidents on my outing. Oddly enough, I only bought two things that weren’t on my list: a toy for The Stig and a steak for me.

We rock!

Trust me, Girl. I have never lost my empathy for folks with disabilities, whether they are temporary or permanent. And it’s for sure, I will never be Superwoman. I have more limitations than you realize, and for everything I’m able to do, there are another 10 things I can’t do, and if it takes me two or three hours to shop on payday (travel time included) then it will take me just as many DAYS to recover.

Las Vegas has a favorite charity called Opportunity Village. When I was working, I rode the Paratransit bus that picked up a lot of these kids (no matter how old they are, they are “kids,”) and got to interact with them up close and personal. A visit to the site is a sobering experience, but it is also extremely enlightening and unexpectedly happy.

The kids have no idea they are a minority. WE are the different ones, and we have to adjust to them. Remembering them, and seeing some of the people here, I am very thankful for what I can do. And I try very hard not to pass the CFIDS along by complaining.

To paraphrase: I felt bad because I lost my hat, until I saw a man who had lost his head.

All things in perspective, I am NOT a Superwoman. Just a PWD who is trying to adjust to what life has dealt. It is an every day battle, make no mistake.

XOXOXO

I saw that on the news. I was praying for your safety. Having lived in Tucson, I understand that rain has a whole new personality!

Thankfully, you are still alive and kicking!

Evening! Tom and I got milkshakes on the way home from the Hobbit Club. James and Vlad got some chicken and water, to keep them from making a mess in the van.

My day has been...um...a day.

I got to Walmart before 0700 and had to wait for Customer Service. I managed to get almost all of what was on my list, but some days, it’s not worth chewing through the straps.

I would love some CHIK-N!

Mornin’. Hard to imagine turning on the furnace. Brought laptop outside last evening so that Crowbar would stay outside for a little while, and I became supersaturated. The humidity here is so high that my 82yo neighbor has a great-looking complexion. I look like a raisin compared to him lol!

Today’s catchup day. Tomatoes are slowing down. Will can some. Still have to feed neighbor’s horse & peacocks. Paperwork and bills to pay. Plan to fry onion rings for Mr. Sg. How do you think bacon and onion donuts would taste? Hmmm...maybe not.

Have a great day, y’all!

Good morning, Ladies!

I’m waking up with some peach iced tea, and it is good!

Last night was really miserable as I thought it would be because of the stresses of the morning, but I managed to get about three hours of sleep. I will start to drag in a few hours, but for now, I’m good.

I went to Petsmart for more dog bones. They had some decent-looking bearded dragons on sale, but wandering through the reptile tank section reminded me how expensive those things are.
Piper goes through three large-breed size rawhide bones in about a week and a half. The lady at the counter said “Oh, do you have a Saint Bernard?”
