In his first Kentucky comments since the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said Monday that even if "Obamacare" is repealed, the health care law will not easily go away.

I think Jim DeMint is gunning to take over that job and he would be great as minority leader or hopefully after Nov majority leader.

You’d think that the Republicans would offer to overturn the legislation and then promise to address the issue that is in alignment with the American dream, then do it.

The only thing I want to hear from this no-ball bastard is “we WILL repeal it.”

It may be unfair, but Mitch McConnell has a record many of us are well acquainted with. And this sounds too much like old Mitch.

The rank & file just want an encouraging word. Its called leadership.

It will be hard to unwind because weasels like McConnell will continue to fund it. What part of ‘No more’ does he not understand?

He didn’t refer to difficulty repealing it.

Note, he said even with repeal, it will be difficult to unwind.

Yes, McConnell has already stated, give us at least 51 votes in the election and we will repeal it. So yes, he knows that.

The reason it will be difficult to unwind is that is how it was planned by our dicatators, to have it so imbedded in our societal infrastructures that it WILL be hard.

And it will.

We have done hard things all our history as a nation, so it is still doable even though hard.

That’s all he was saying.

You could at least get right what he has said on the subject, rather than blazing away with paltry information and large misimpressions in mind.

Even with repeal, 'Obamacare' will be hard to unwind,

To paraphrase President Kennedy: "We undo Obamacare not because it is easy but because it is hard.:

Can’t help but think of McConnell as Eeyore.

“Could you ask your friend to do his exercises somewhere else? I shall be having lunch directly, and don’t want it bounced on just before I begin. A trifling matter, and fussy of me, but we all have our little ways.”

He has said it very simply...give us the votes to repeal it, and we will repeal it. And Romney will sign.

When he said that, HE WAS ATTACKED, here.

I hold no brief for the guy. I wouldn’t pick him for Leader. But I call each as I see ‘em, and I’m getting more disgusted with this reaction to McConnell than I am with McConnell.

And that’s saying a lot.

If it is unfunded, it will go away overnight!

Welllll.......

mcromney already said that he would want to keep parts of it...

now mcconnell starts to waffle..

The law will stand, because it is just TOO HAAARRRDDD to do it...

Well, let me take care of this for you...

House Bill 001

Fubocare is hearby repealed in it’s entirety.

It is really that simple, but, the bottom line is that the politicans WANT this control, they WANT this law, and it don’t matter what you or I want.. we are just the soil on the bottom of their shoes..

Here is a hint... there are no good career politicans. Throw out anyone that has served more than 4 terms in the house, and more than 2 in the senate.

No, I am not advocating term limits, we already have them. It is called a ballot box, and until the sheeple ( yes even some on this forum ) wake the hell up, stop listening to the propoganda, and realize it is us versus them. Not lib versus conservative, or dem versus pub, but citizens versus career politicans, regardless of their party affiliation, we are doomed to the same crap over and over again..

Our rally cry should be, “ Primary ‘em”.. and then DO IT

WELL, Mitchy Boy!!

That is why YOU and that other Nebish dirtbag Boner get those high salaries and perks - LIKE NOT HAVING TO COMPLY WITH OBAMACARE.

I guess you are admitting OBAMA is smarter than YOU.

I think its time for this dismal old fossil to hit the road and take his crybaby buddy with him and we get a Senate and House leader with the kind of brains and testacles that will allow them to act like men instead of brainless capons.

McConnell could be the POSTER BOY for the GOP RINO Establishment.

Question: Other than defeating them in an election, what is the process for replacing the Republican Senate Leader? How about the House? Thanks.

He has said it very simply...give us the votes to repeal it, and we will repeal it. And Romney will sign.

In this article? He also said the odds are still with you if you like Obamacare. Exactly what is he trying to say?

He is right. No way around it. Obama and the HHS have already implemented much of ObamaCare and it will take years to uproot all of the rules and mandates that are already in place. Give the man some slack for telling the truth.

First, the law was intentionally written in a way to frustrate future attempts at defunding.

Second, defunding is a House of Representatives function.

McConnell is in the Senate.

It needs to be repealed. The House has repealed it. The Senate under Reid has not and will not. Obama would veto even if it did.

Therefore, McConnell’s focus is on the need to get the votes, through elections, to repeal it.

And a president who will sign repeal.
