Washington (CNN) - Thursday's landmark Supreme Court decision upholding the country's health care law appears to have had exactly zero impact on the presidential election so far, and has produced virtually no change in opinions on President Barack Obama or Republican challenger Mitt Romney, according to a new national poll.
And while the CNN/ORC International survey released Monday indicates the president with a very slight three point edge over Romney among registered voters nationwide, the presumptive GOP nominee appears to hold an eight point advantage among voters who live in the 15 states considered in play in the race for the White House.

Correction: “Up (8) in 15 swing states”, not “Up 15 in swing states.”
“Appears to hold” is the best CNN could cough up?
Right. Keep telling yourself that.
I suggest you report abuse on yourself (to get the mods attention) and request a correction.
While trumpeting a national popular vote lead of 3 percent of “registered voters” for Obortion.
Well, hey, a projected win is a projected win, I’ll take it for now, but LET’S RUN UP THE NUMBERS!
Will stick with my prediction made earlier in June, 2012 that Obama will carry only between eight to twelve states on November 6, 2012. He will be defeated by American voters in massive fashion, and...he will take droves of liberal Democrats down with him. The handwroiting is clearly on the wall for all to see. Shucks half the Democrats running for office do not want to be near him or see with him.
All the spin and media manipulation for Obama is not going to save Barack Hussein Obama and the Democrat Party. The Democrats had their opportunity earlier in the year to broom Obama, but.....no dice. Now....they will go down with him!!! Actually, “The Roberts Vote” did more to hurt and hinder Obama, then it did to help him. Now....he and his Demopcrat pack have nothing to run on!!! Obamacare, stinks, The Economy stinks, Obama’s chosen Muslim Brotherhood rules the Middle East and hates America....and on & on & on!!!! America you must have been high on something when you voted for this anti-America loser!!!
Who? What?
How is this possible? If Romney has gained so much movement in the past week in the swing states, why shoud we believe that there is no impact from the SCOTUS decision?
Also - how can CNN claim that Obama is still leading Romney by 3% nationally? It sounds like a magical poll.
Interesting they would collectively poll swing states but I’m not sure how useful that data is.
why do the swing states hate it so much more than other states?
CNN poll more proof that Obama & his media toads are in full panic mode as more people begin to realize whats in the “Affordable Health Care Act” surprise package.
... its funny, CNN’s phrasing of this headline implies that the law is a really bad thing, and that it hasn’t driven down Obama’s numbers is actually news.
F. Chuck Todd has been all over the Bam-Bam network for the last 3 days bloviating how NBC's poll showed Obama up 3% in 12 swing states (collectively). This poll is not even close to that one. Ergo, one of them is bull****. Anyone care to venture a guess which one is bogus?
But MSLSDNC will crawl over a half mile of poor poll results for The One to pick out something positive.
Romney should be running 24/7 commercials about the 21 new taxes on the MIDDLE class. Along with page by page, section by section the lunacy of the 2700 page law. Then run TV ads about the UK failed socialized medicine system, death panels and all.
I don't think the King can survive the onslaught
CNN polls aren’t the greatest, but NBC/Marist, the worst. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a Republican in a competitive race leading an NBC/Marist poll.
