There Will STILL Be Private Health Care for the Rich

RUSH: I'll tell you what else is gonna happen. There is still going to be private sector health care for the rich. It will still exist. It exists in Great Britain. It exists in Cuba. You think Fidel uses what his citizens use? Ha! Doctors from Spain flew over to try to fix his colon, which came detached 'cause he didn't want to wear a bag. That's when he got sick. He got really infected in there. But in this country, it's gonna be the same. If you don't want to pay insurance because you're a rich guy, you pay the fine.

And then you make a deal with the doctor and the hospital he works at. You put it on your credit card or you write 'em a check. Somehow you pay 'em direct. It'll cost less with no insurance but that's still gonna be available. (interruption) It won't get to that in the second term because that's he's gonna get his health care. Obama is not gonna fix that. You think all these rich Democrats in Hollywood are gonna be forced on Obama's plan? There's no way.

Top-drawer health care will remain in this country, but only for the rich because it's gonna be direct pay with no insurance involved or very little insurance. And that's why you don't see any of the super rich upset about this because they know none of it's gonna impact them. That's why Buffett doesn't care. That's why Gates doesn't care. That's why Clooney doesn't care, or any of these other little Hollywood people that run around raising money for Obama.

They don't care because the best health care is gonna remain available to them because they are gonna be able to afford it, with money to spare. So the best is still going to be available, and we're still gonna end up with a tiered system. And for all these people think we're gonna have this massive utopia where everybody is now equal and everybody gets the same and it's always gonna be the best, you wait. The best is still gonna be there, and it's gonna be as far away from the average citizen as it is today.

And nothing about ObamaTax changes that.

So the 1% will still have REAL health care? Well, that sucks!

We know. Congress, the judicial and executive branches are exempt. They are the only ones with money any longer.

If it was such a good system, why are they not part of it.

“There Will STILL Be Private Health Care for the Rich”

Honestly? Did anyone EVER doubt this?

I’m feeling a little shellshocked about all of this and a little worried that the GOP/Romney clowns aren’t actually capable of responding adequately. (I do believe that the Chicago thugs got to Roberts, who I believe is a McGreevey figure and who wanted to forestall going public...and that shows me that the Alinskyites play hardball).

obama’s numbers are bad...but they don’t make re-election impossible. And I just believe the GOP are basically too limp wristed to fight back enough to win.

We live in frightening times.

Why do you state that Congress is exempt?

(D) MEMBERS OF CONGRESS IN THE EXCHANGE.-

(i) REQUIREMENT.-Notwithstanding any other provision of law, after the effective date of this subtitle, the only health plans that the Federal Government may make available to Members of Congress and congressional staff with respect to their service as a Member of Congress or congressional staff shall be health plans that are-

(I) created under this Act (or an amendment made by this Act); or

(II) offered through an Exchange established under this Act (or an amendment made by this Act).

(ii) DEFINITIONS.-In this section:

(I) MEMBER OF CONGRESS.-The term ‘’Member of Congress’’ means any member of the House of Representatives or the Senate.

(II) CONGRESSIONAL STAFF.-The term ‘’congressional staff’’ means all full-time and parttime employees employed by the official office of a Member of Congress, whether in Washington, DC or outside of Washington, DC.

One of the roots of liberalism is outright ENVY.

The communists take advantage of this envy by playing to the sheeperals’ hatred of the rich,

and the biggest thing they hate about the rich is the concept that the rich HAVE MORE CHOICES than they do.

The commies tell the sheeperals that they will have as many choices as the rich have, and if they can do that by taking away choices from the rich, so much the better in the minds of the sheeperals.

Of course, the rich will ALWAYS have more choices, that’s a given. And the only thing that changes is that the masses have far fewer choices whilst the nomenklatura have all the luxuries.

Work hard so that the fruits of your labor can be re-distributed, unless you're already a member of the Elitist Club.

People seem to have forgotten that in the 2008 campaign democrats promised that everyone in the country would get the same health care program as members of congress have.

I’m too old to get there now, but it’s obvious if a person wants to stay in America and have a decent life, they’ll have to become one of the elites.

The days of the substantial prosperous middle class appear to be fading fast.

Or perhaps some other country will become a magnet for American expats hoping to recreate greatness.

Which bill did you find this in? There were two - House and Senate both had one. They got so messed up when they went to final passage, I’m not sure WHICH one got passed. I have since thrown away - recycled - my print out from the one that passed.

"Sound like another good reason to work hard and become rich!"

Well you are right: But keep in mind it's getting much harder and harder to do so. In reality the purpose of all this liberal regulation is to KEEP YOU FROM BECOMING RICH!

That is the true goal of the left. Why?

What do rich people do?

(it's a rhetorical question) The answer is "Anything they want". They can't be controlled.

Some of us did not...still, it's worth pointing out to those who might hold the novel belief that their insurance and Barbara Streisand's might force them to one day share a semi-private room with her.

What I find despicable is that the Democrat party always reduces demographics down to just 1%. As if to say, 1% amounts to nothing... what the hell does it matter what 1%-ers think, bunch of nothings, its ok to disregard their concerns... the 1% can rot in hell, Who cares! Was Germany's Jews just 1% of the population?

So its Ok to hate the Rich, they're just 1% of the population. What about other groups the left loves to hate? White Conservatives? Christians who hold to the bible as the word of God. Those who stand for the sanctity of life. How long before they are all reduced to the 1% crowd? GD Democrats... your day is coming.

Rush knows that Socialism is all about creating a new elite, a smaller, more powerful elite, that is vastly separated from the serfs.

Rush is not completely right in this regard.

Yes, the rich can buy whatever is available.

But can they buy a ride on the Space Shuttle?

No, because it is not available at any price, in the sensible understanding of the word "price." Rush cannot buy a ride on the Space Shuttle, and he is very rich.

Can a Warren Buffett type buy state-of-the-art emergency medical care when his little Buffy snorts too much blow up her rhinoplast-ied nostril and goes into seizures? Well, yes...if he and she happen to be close to a state-of-the-art hospital that has not been shut down or otherwise crippled by liberals..

Everyone thinks heath care is about the doctors, and they hate doctors so they dream up new ways to punish them for being doctors. But health care is about the infrastructure of medicine, of which doctors are only the most familiar part.

And Obamacare is going to wreck the infrastructure. The personnel, technicians, administrators, buildings, equipment, management, janitorial...infrastructure. And the George Clooneys will pay the price just like you and me, because he's always going to have to have the jet fired up and ready to fly him (in perfect weather) to the nearest state-of-the-art infrastructure that hasn't been wrecked--yet.

There will be a two-tiered system, but the rich may die trying to get to their tier of the system.

People envy the Joneses next door much more than the rich. They will settle for the rich having better health care as long as their neighbors get forced into Obamacare. Like politics, all envy is local.
