Romney Led Bain's Investment in Firm That Disposed of Aborted Fetuses
The Atlantic Wire ^ | July 2, 2012 | Elspeth Reeve

David Corn has a report out this morning that pushes the continuing attacks on Mitt Romney's tenure at Bain Capital forward not just because of the business it involves — disposing of aborted fetuses — but because it extends the length of time he worked at Bain. According to Securities and Exchange Commission documents, Romney was involved in Bain's investment in a company called Stericycle in late 1999. What did Stericycle do? Well, it was a fast-growing, profitable medical waste company. But it also had some problems, such as getting fined for keeping body parts and dead animals in unmarked containers or exposing workers to tuberculosis. And then there were the fetuses. Romney now describes himself as "adamantly pro-life" now but embraced pro-choice positions on abortion in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Back when Bain was involved with Stericycle, anti-abortion activists have waged a campaign against the company.

But that revelation may not be the most significant part of Corn's report (conservatives who aren't wild about Romney's conservative credentials aren't making much noise now that Romney is the Republican nominee). The most damaging part may be the dates.

One wonders why you would choose to post a story like this here?

It should be posted here
If that is what is going to be used against him don't you want to know so you can be prepared to rebut if it is a distortion etc

Mittens isn’t a communist.

But then perhaps you are sharper than Palin, Newt, Santorum, Cain, and a bunch of other political folks.

Kind of reminds me of the Direct TV ads: one thing leads to another and pretty soon you’re the Fist of Goodness .

Here's what's going on ~ you got a guy who can't win. You are working hard to make sure Obama gets enough votes to win, even though he is losing voters right and left.

What you need to do if you want the Republicans to win is get a candidate who can LEAD the party, not just cave in to Obama like your last RINO ~ McCain, or your RINO before him, Bob Dole, or your even earlier RINO, pappy Bush, or Gerald Ford, or the guy before him, Richard Nixon (who ran for President 3 times, but remember his loss), and before him Dewey, Willkie, Landon.

YOU are traitors. You keep running these RINOs and warmed over Leftwing Democrats, and losing elections we should have had IN THE BAG.

Romney is different from these other losers only in average room temperature ~ otherwise he's the same old same old.

You are too clever by half ~ for your own good. No, I'm not like the professional politicians who long ago signed a pledge to support party nominees.

I'm just a voter, and I am aghast at how utterly devoid of integrity this year's rendition of the GOP has become.

I oppose abortion more than having to dispose of the “waste”.

Under Obama we are each personally abortionists.

I’ll take the lesser of 2 evils to stop abortion.

Every time.

Romney won because he had the $$$$$$$ and the GOP establishment behind him
WE got stuck with him or is there some magical way people on this site had 1,000,000 votes in each of the state primaries

I’m selfishly glad I’m older and won’t be around to see the nasty little mutants that a Liberal society and the gods of science will produce. We get a dose of their forbearers here on these threads from time to time

It’s going to take him more than FIVE percent vote in his home state to become president.

“Goode may have a major impact on the final race, as the former Virginia congressman is currently polling at five percent in the Virginia presidential primary”

http://www.constitutionparty.com/news.php?aid=1452

He very may impact the final race (in favor of Obama) if he can manage to slice off 5% of the national vote.

At least Virgil Goode was one of the few Democrats to vote for Clinton’s impeachment.

Okay, then you better get busy. I am. You don't build a house by putting up the frame and then saying, "Oh well, I only got five percent of it built. No point in putting on walls and a roof."

I was addressing BarnacleCenturion who is pushing the Mittbot line that we must all bow down and support a loser one more time.

There are plenty of others like him on this thread and elsewhere today. I hope you didn't think I proposed bowing down to Mitt.

Won’t build a viable presidential campaign in 4 months.

Will he get to debate Obama and Romney in the general election? Unlike all previous elections?

Pipe dream candidacy.

Won’t build a viable presidential campaign in 4 months.

Because you're sitting on your hinders making excuses instead of doing the hard work of canvassing neighborhoods, putting out signs, making cold calls.

All that is required for liberalism to win is for Conservatives to fold like cheap suits and accept whatever choices the MSM allows them, despite clear Conservative alternatives.

During the primaries the Conservative vote was split and the liberal vote was all for mitt.

Now the liberal vote is split between mitt and obie, and Goode stands tall as the clear, Conservative choice.

Why on Earth would anybody vote FOR abortions, gun control, obamnyecare, higher taxes, gay marriage, bigger government?

Their silence is deafening. Make no mistake, their man is Obama.

When I get an ad hominem, I don't waste my time responding. You can't address my position on the merits, adios.
