Senator Charles Grassley got furious fast over the Justice Departments dismissive attitude about the House of Representatives criminal contempt citation against Attorney General Eric Holder, and his call for independent action by the U.S. attorney in Washington, D.C. will likely earn accolades from western gun rights activists.
Grassley will be far more popular than a Kent man who was sentenced in federal court in Seattle Friday for selling a gun via the internet later used in a murder, and probably more popular than the judge who handed down the sentence, for something he said in court, according to the Seattle Times. More about that in a moment.

In a Friday letter to U.S. Attorney Ronald C. Machen, Jr., Grassley took particular exception to the Justice Departments reaction after the House voted 255-67 with 109 members walking out on the vote to hold Holder in contempt for refusing to turn over subpoenaed documents in the Fast and Furious investigation. Last week, Grassley wrote a letter to President Obama about executive privilege and Fast and Furious, which may be read here.

Gunwalker / Murdergate ping.
Mark Levin is correct: we are in the post-constitutional phase of American history.
Welcome to the USSA, where the MSM is just American Pravda.
Holder’s people walked out.
Government officials were prosecuted for supplying weapons to the freedom fighters in Nicaragua. But nobody is being prosecuted for supplying weapons to drug cartels. I hope if Romney get elected that he reverses this decision, but, past experience with GOP officials is not encouraging.
Whatever happened to....no one is above the law??
It’s like the one Holder’s person said in 2010 “Ya don’t vote against blood”.
The pimps of the RACE Industry walked out!
There are many that are involved directly and in directly. All should be vetted as for thier involvement and thier support of this criminal enterprise. WE need in the coming years and independent council that will investigate and bring charges on all involved in fast and furious as well as other criminal activities by this administration. Do not rest until we see jail time handed out
That is code for "no conservative is above the law". It doesn't apply to liberals in the eyes of Obama's pet mainstream media.
2. Ranking member of House oversight committee Cummings (D) actively participates in the Fast & Furious coverup.
3. DOJ refuses to comply with Congressional subpoena's citing "an ongoing investigation" concerning documents generated AFTER the DOJ admitted it was wrong about F&F, and AFTER all criminal prosecutions (against drug cartel members) are complete. In other words, these documents detail THE COVERUP!
4. Holder's appointed (non-independant and friendly co-worker) "investigator" has compromised the investigation in several ways, and no culpability, accountability or discipline has been determined -- much less acted upon.
5. The media continues to charecterize the contempt vote as "along party lines" when more than a dozen Democrats voted in favor of contempt. They fail to note that only members of the Black Congressional Caucus walked out on the vote, in support of (black- "ish") Holder, making the only partisian solidarity her along RACIST lines!
I think I got the high points.
Meanwhile a ruling against a gunseller shows that it is a crime to sell ONE gun used in ONE crime which committed ONE murder. Jail time is pending for that gunseller.
No wonder the people are getting furious FAST!
Obviously 109 Democrats who seem to have a penchant anymore for running away from their responsibilities decided the vote wasn’t worth it, and the running away, and hiding was.
255-67 was the vote to hold Holder in Contempt of Congress with 109 running away to hide. Wondering what happened to the other 69?
I did only read the excerpt as I’m short on time.
They think this is a joke? Just for Holder I propose we bring back the firing squad. Seems fitting.
Thank God for men like Gowdy and Issa, and Sheriff Joe and Gov Walker.
They need to send the capitol police over to his office and haul him out in leg irons.
He’s so certain that his “melanin shield” will protect him.
Interesting that the 109 were not willing to go on record standing up for Holder. Unwilling to vote against him, sure ... but also unwilling to vote _for_ him.
Other 69?
255 for Contempt of Congress.
67 against Contempt of Congress.
109 walked out, didn’t vote.
Total 431 if my math is correct.
There are I believe 500 members of the House which means 69 of them did not vote, and I’m wondering what happened to those “representatives” that they did not “represent” their constituents.
I may have posted this before, but I heard a caller on a radio show whose aa coworker was robbed by another aa. The caller asked the coworker if he was going to the police about it and he was told no. “I ain’t gonna put another brothuh in jail” was the reply.
This goes hand in hand with the DOJ employees who were unhappy that they were going to Mississippi to file a case for a white man- didn’t one say that he didn’t join the DOJ to fight for white people or to file charges against black people?
I have yet to hear a white person say that they were not going to do something specifically because the person in question was white.
There are 435 members of the House of Representatives and 100 Senators.
