Doctors Despair Over Obamacare
Big Govt ^ | 7-1-12 | Wm Bigelow

The Doctor Patient Medical Association Foundation conducted a faxed survey of random doctors in May 2012. In the survey, it is clearly delineated that the medical system as it is changing is discouraging doctors from practicing. 83% of the doctors said that current changes made them think about quitting, and 90% of them thought the path of the medical field currently was wrong.

They apparently feel that their Hippocratic oaths are being compromised; 61% of them feel that Hippocratic ethics are getting more difficult to practice, which is troubling, since one of the cardinal parts of the oath is the phrase “I will keep them from harm and injustice.”

85% of the doctors surveyed felt that the patient-physician relationship is declining. 37% of the doctors said they were just squeaking by, and 39% said things would get worse over the next five years.

The doctors were virtually unanimous that the government is at fault for medicine being on the wrong track, and feel that corporate medicine is trying to destroy private practice.

the is a medical term called PAN-Patel consultation.

I don’t think any other ethnic group has developed that stereotype.

“This is going to be harsh, but so is reality.

The majority of stupid Americans who voted for obastard deserve to die horribly for lack of good medical care because of what they wrought on the rest of us.”

Let me be harsh with this reality.

Those who did not vote for Obama (and/or Dems) are going to also suffer and die for the lack of good medical care.

If we still had a draft, there would have been the experience of military socialized medicine. Having to call for limited appointments, poorly trained enlisted specialists. What made it viable was military discipline and pride. That won’t be part of socialized medicine.

Those are excellent points I've not thought of myself or heard others make.

I've worked with many MDs who simply dropped the practice of medicine and turned to a life of software engineering. The business costs writing software are less than practicing medicine. In many cases, the cash flow is better. Most doctors are smart enough to make the transition.

Something like 15-20% isn’t it? About like the ABA. But they are leftist and the loudest megaphones in their respective industries, so they have the influence.

I highly recommend you read A Surgeon Cuts to the Heart of the ObamaCare Nightmare by Stella Paul over at American Thinker. It'll make you even more depressed than this article.

I know a bunch of docs who will retire early. They are not going poor for some communist’s wet dream. They will not have a bureaucrat dictating their work. They hate paperwork and have too much already.

We are going to lose a lot of docs in America. So many will retire and we are not set up to replace them all. They will drive a lot of younger docs with school loans into hell because they counted on their high earnings to live.

What a nightmare for our country. The AMA stuck docs in the back and they should organize to get even with those communists in the AMA who did this to our health care system. Professional pay back is a necessity.

80% of what you pay for healthcare is paid out in lawsuits, most of them frivolous.

Cutting anything else won't help cut costs.

"The Doctor Patient Medical Association Foundation conducted a faxed survey of random doctors in May 2012."

The "Doctor Patient Medical Association Foundation" is the most phony sounding title possible. Let's face it: This is probably an insurance company front group.

>>We’ll probably have to combine health care with tourism to continue to see our family doctor.

Hmmm. I wonder if there’s a business model for medical cruises. Modify a cruise ship for office visits and surgeries, head outside the 4 mile limit.

“So where the heck were all these doctors when Obamacare was being debated? Their silence—and if I remember right, the AMA’s approval—allowed Obamacare to become law.”

My doctor was telling me how great it was going to be and how it was only going to affect the poor. The rest of us would have the same insurance.

He also told me to quit listening to Rush Limbaugh.

The next time I saw him, I think he was expecting me to tell him “I told you so”, but I didn't.

Israel.

I wonder if Nefesh B'Nefesh has seen a sudden spike in Aliyah applications.

They can cry me a river.

They were as passive during the creation of this as they have been about abortion. Actually the AMA is pro choice.

Hippocratic oath. They take it as seriously as Obama and most politicians take their oath to uphold the Constitution.

If the AMA came out against it the way they did Hillary Care, they would have been snubbed in the same way and it would have been news.

Doctors have checked out and not a whole lot of folks feel sorry for them.

They’ll be missed, but they won’t pull in the salaries they once commanded. A little known fact is that ehy bled Medicaid and Medicare so badly it changed medicine forever in the early ‘80s when insurance companies, to protect hteir capital, had to invent DSM to regulate how much MDs were taking advantage of (cheating) the system.

Patients will be the losers in the whole deal, as doctors will stay out of the field. The money is gone. It can arguabley be traced back to MDs.

Well, there are plenty of opposition retirement groups coming onto the scene. Not the opposition MD groups.

“While the doctor’s pay plummets and their expenses skyrocket, the trial lawyers still have year round open season and no limits.”

Hah. Wait till people figure out that you can NOT sue the government and that, like in military medicine, there is simply no suing on;s MD for malpractice.

The only recourse a military patient has is the media who love anti military stories. The media will ignore all anti obamacare stories.

The doctors willl be of poor caliber and there will be no recourse.
