Because trying to explain the difference in a setting like this will cause viewers to tune out, eyes to glaze over. It’s a waste of effort.
interesting I am not seeing one work around with the healthcare reform.
If a company can have multiple small corporations in order to get around the 50 worker tax.
IOW you just set up 49 worker companies for each aspect of the corporation. One for delivery, one for managerial, one for warehouse, etc. etc.
Roberts judgements was the most incoherent, cowardly decision from the Court in my life time. Apparently Judge Roberts was sick the day they taught the class on checks and balances. The Judiciary is absolutely suppose to be a check on an out of control Executive and Legislature. Judge Roberts cowardly decision to punt the ball rather then do his duty is utterly indefensible.
There is a lot of what you just posted out there to read. I’ve read a lot of it. Some it is really scary if any of its true. Lots hard to quantify. Other stuff already happened. Did it happen by design is the question.
Yes, kenyancare explicitly hiring 16,000 IRS agents and 0 doctors is something joe sixpack can understand and won’t like. How does that improve the quality of your health care?
We need to get in to the meat of the bill now. It’s not enough to shout, it’s a tax! There is plenty of stuff in the bill that the pinkos won’t like talking about.
This theory of “Roberts is playing chess” is idiotic. Roberts could of handed Obama a massive political defeat and given Romney a massive political boost by striking down Obama care.If Roberts thought he was playing political chess he just made the most massive blunder in US political history. Look at the polling data, this decision has not hurt O at all.
Nobody has commented on Face The Nation so here goes. We only get the first 1/2 hour here, so missed Scott Walker on the back half.
The first half hour was more than pathtic. Nora O’Donnell filled in for the old fart and she had Boehner (pre-recorded). She questioned him like a prosecutor would go after a hostile witness. Every question she asked had a sarcastic and condescending tone. Frankly Boehner did a pretty poor job of rsesponding when asked about what parts the Republicans would replace if they successfully repealed Obamacare. He wasn’t very specific. If they don’t present this repeal and replace argument better, undecided voters are not going to support the idea very well.
After Boehner, the prosecutor had Upchuck Schumer and Coburn on. Her questions were softballs for Chucky, and pretty antagonistic towards Coburn. Coburn, a physician, did a pretty good job of pointing out the potholes down the road if this healthcare monstrosity gets completely implemented.
This Nora O’Donnell witch should work at MSNBC. She’s much worse the DNC Dave, or Stephy.
The voters will understand only 1. the irs will put you in jail.
2. this is the obama tax.
you can put a picture of the 2700 page tombe and simply caption, “understand and obey this or go to jail.”
This is really good and perfect for talk radio!! I hope Rush/Beck will pick this up tomorrow.Clear as a bell.
Great post!! I just watched fat candy and stuffy stephy both try and get jack lew to admit this was a tax but he just can’t do it.The Chicago mobsters know that’s the deathnell for the regime if they admit zerocare was nada but a tax.
Sick or drunk. Take your pick. I am leaning to drunk since his opinion seems to be an attempt to keep everyone happy. He covets those Georgetown cocktail party invites obviously.
Agreed MNJ.The big question remains why did he do it?
Exactly that’s the whole thing about obamcare/Kenyancare/Kardashiancare its so invasive and hardly about healthcare but everything else!,It has to be diagnosed in-depth and we need people like Paul Ryan who know it inside out to do the job.
Sad part is the penalty tax won’t come due till after the election. Many may be looking in the rear-view mirror because they didn’t vote against Democrats and are stuck paying the penalty tax on April 15.
I saw the Boehner interview Norruuuhhh was a bit prosecutorial but I thought Boehner did a rather good job onthe whole. Of course the problem is he is no Paul Ryan when it comes to zerocare. You really need someone who knows the 2,700 pages inside out. Boehner obviously does not.
I disagree!
You just say over and over
” Just because you insure millions more people and everyone is “insured” doesn’t mean they will get healthcare the way those that are insured get it now. Obamacare didn’t change the number of doctors, nurses, hospitals,so you may wait 3 months to see your doctor ( see Massachusettes now) and wait 2 years to see a specialist or get elective surgery. If everyone gets insurance for everything and we don’t have the providers, it means nothing to have an insurance card. This bill gets everyone ‘insured’ but doesn’t change actual availability for healthcare.”
Pretty simple.
A feeling he does have towards DOMA which was overwhelmingly bipartisan.
I think ryan was great today explaining this in simple terms.
I don’t think you have to diagnose it in depth, just hit the highlights:
1. You are gonna get a big penalty tax this coming april 15!
2. Just because you are insured, doesn’t mean you get to see a doctor or get hospital care.See my post 136.
this is simple enough for people to understand.
Yep. With the inherent inefficiencies of government the only way to make kenyancare "work" is:
1) A Massive taxes increase on all (VAT, etc.)
2) lower standard of living (smaller houses, cars, etc)
3) lower quality health care (rationing, etc)
That is the only possible template and how they do socialized medicine in Europe. The idea that we can get all the goodies "free" is insane.
And THAT, assuming we dump Soetoro and are rid of him and his thugs by January, will put Roberts' and his children out of the thugs' reach by the time it blows ObamaTAX out of the water.
This, while I mean every word of it, does not mean I agree with or condone what Roberts did. As Fish says, he didn't do his job. In this milieu, as in the Clinton Regime, some safe jobs are not so safe.
