Yeah, then we get a big-government liberal Republican like Mitt Romney into the White House, all while pretending we're winning something.
Talk about being optimistic when there is one drop of water left in the cup.
And if Romney somehow wins, you just think people are finally waking up about Bush's appointees, just wait until they see Willard's nominees. I'm pissed, but in a way it's amusing since people are finally waking up to the fact that the GOP does not represent Conservatives.

Roberts has sentenced a lot of innocent people to death with his betrayal. I just pray we have a just God.

uh, right....
That Roberts is a fackin' genius, with a crystal ball to peer into the future.
His fool's gamble assumes that we'll have an election this November, that it will be a clean election (the dead will remain so, and not vote), and that the libtard base doesn't turn out, all the while assuming that we have enough representatives and senators with the balls to reverse this legislatively during 2013.
All of us have better odds winning Powerball than Roberts' backhanded way to overturn this stinking piece of legislation following your plan.

“Some like yourself just dont get it. Hopefully it will sink in some day soon and you will see just how wise Chief Justices decision was.”
In the very least you must admit that your fictitious Roberts was wrong about Kennedy, and therefore looks very, very stupid. Also, that aside from all questions of the duty of justices to abide by the Constitution and not to let petty political calculations to interfere with the truth, he has swapped his inheritance for a mess of pottage. For he has set a precedent whereby the feds can order us to do anything so long as they threaten to tax us if we don’t, and received what in exchange? Authorship of the opinion and a Republican issue that expires on Nov., 2012.
Not that writing the opinion means nothing. Obiter dicta can loom larger than decisions, cf. the infamous Footnote Four. But that’s no compensation.

This POS roberts is a socialist. No way it was ever a conservative. Michelle Bachmann however calls it right and she was barbecued here on freerepublic and the media. I bet you all wish Michelle Bachmann were president now don't you ?

This decision is tyrannical at best. Roberts has just said that there are no limits on federal power, and that the individual mandate--which is clearly a penalty and not a tax--is a tax. Roberts also said that the government could tax things which don't even relate to federal enumerated powers. The Congress no longer needs the Commerce Clause but can now "regulate" (and in this case that means penalize) activity over which it has no authority to directly regulate. Roberts argued this is allowed under the Taxation clause in Art I Sec 8. Congress and the President can penalize any behavior and have the Court construe it as a tax. Thanks. I think you have given the clearest explanation I've read so far as to what just happened. Just a matter of time now and what the next mandates are.

Roberts another gift from the idiot Bush family in the tradition of Souter.

A Constitutional amendment limiting terms, age, etc. There is NO justification for this being a politically-appointed position and certainly not one for life.

What this decision really means is its the end of Obama and his socialist democrat regime. The right will now have the catalyst needed to DEFEAT OBAMA, RETAKE THE SENATE AND THEN NULLIFY OBAMACARE. Let the left continue to live in their FANTASY WORLD. They are all done politically.

The right will now have the catalyst needed to DEFEAT OBAMA, RETAKE THE SENATE AND THEN NULLIFY OBAMACAREBut we won't be able to nullify today's Roberts' Court decision, which made the Fed's power to tax *unlimited*, and which will be cited in future SC decisions to uphold the most coercive tax measures imaginable.

Wish it were Bachmann, personally.
She should be president. Yet many freepers and the media barbecued her.

John Roberts AGREES with Elena Kagan on this!!!! Worse, he agrees with Ginsburg. I'd rather be dead than be on anything on the side of Ginsburg.

He is Roger Taney. Who Ruled Dred Scott was a Non-Person and precipitated the Civil War. John Roberts ruled you are a Tax Serf to the Federal Government. Paying for the privilege to pay taxes to the Federal Government.
Bingo. Exact same thought I had today.

We heard the same wacky theories last week when Roberts slapped down the will of the people of Arizona and voted with Obama's DOJ.
NO SALE. Roberts is a progressive plant.

Now, Republicans, conservatives are aflame as we should be. Even 68% of the Yahoo home page Libs think it was the wrong decision. Will this ultimately change the turnout against Obama in November? Will this ultimately lead to a Romney presidency, a Republican Senate & House?
The GOP has to show the coming impact ( since 2014 is when it really arrives) in terms of $$$$$$
They need a massive ad campaign
Because with no immediate impact the public will forget all about it by November
