All I can say is that we've learned from history about the inevitable truth of Republics: They all eventually fall.
Accepting your premise, and assuming that Americans do not go into full revolt over the thing, I think it will morph into a patchwork of mooshed-together goulash of weird-ass programs that will require and demand ever more funding to produce goofball, unanticipated results of every description and defying anyone’s ability to predict. Agency after agency will spring up here, there, and everywhere, requiring more and more funding seemingly without end. Meanwhile, some sort of black market will gradually evolve, and I would suspect that great numbers of US doctors will retire or quit the business, and set up shop offshore in maybe the Bahamas, or Mexico. The US will experience tremendous shortages of doctors and personnel of all sorts, hospitals will close, and chaos of virtually unlimited scope will prevail in the healthcare system. Meanwhile, government will greedily capture more and more of the industry, converting it into a macabre Monty Python skit of fatal dimensions.
Totalitarianism that most assuredly can’t be stopped.

Obamacare`s survival today would mean the transition to dictatorship has been judicially confirmed with the clear and loud message is government has the authority to force us into whatever arrangement the ruling class sees fit.
Remember “if you like your medical insurance, you can keep it”? Soon we`re going to hear, “if you like your current life insurance, you can keep it,” or, “if you like your current 401K or other private retirement program, you can keep it.” There will just be some added burdens to keep them... for the “common good.”
I’m curious: with what may be our country’s most important Supreme Court decision due tomorrow, what do all you fellow Freepers see as our collective, national future - and your personal future - if ObamaCare is left intact?
Ultimately, it will either mean civil war (unlikely) or the already corrupt Federal government will no longer have to give even lip service to the US Constitution. We’ll ultimately get a government like the USSR only with much better technology.
If it wins, get ready for the Hunger Games to begin very soon or a revolution to rise up.

It will be the end of the Republic and its personal freedoms, and free enterprise. We will witness the death throws of the greatest economic engine ever created in World History. We will become “subjects” of a nationalist socialist government, bent on ramming their Utopia down the throats of all Americans, using any means necessary as such fascists do.
And the jury is out on whether genuine, constitution supporting Americans will fight or not to resume the Republic and reinstate the Constitution.If they decide to fight, there will be civil war.

The say leaders only travel in the right direction because of the people shoving from behind, so lets all start licking Romney into killing Obamcare and refunding anything already taken from Americans.

If it survives, we sit back and watch it play out as the disaster and failure we all know it will be. In a year people will be screaming for a repeal and replace.
