The NRA is putting pressure on the White House and members of Congress when it comes to Thursdays House vote on contempt against Attorney General Eric Holder. In a letter to the House, Chris Cox, NRA-ILA Executive Director, said the NRA is paying attention.
The American people including millions of NRA members and tens of millions of NRA supporters deserve the truth about these issues, and we will support any effort that leads us to the truth, wrote Mr. Cox. This is an issue of the utmost seriousness and the NRA will consider this vote in our future candidate evaluations.
Mr. Cox reminds the House the gun shop owners were forced by the ATF to sell these guns to straw purchasers.

Listening to the ed show tonight. The leftist aka progressive gun haters stated. Buying a gun in AZ is as easy as buying a sandwich. One needs to ask the leftist aka progressive gun haters. Where in America does a person buying a sandwich. Needs to have a background check performed before they can buy a sandwich?
Give this man another 4 years and I guarantee an executive order banning all guns (out of desperation he may try it before november - if he thinks he could gain more net some votes out of it)
My NRA life membership dues at work...
“I guarantee an executive order banning all guns”
prez bo cannot give an executive order removing a right from the constitution.
It is good to see my money being well spent. Thank you Mr. Cox!
First off, if it was that easy, it would have been tried by one of the other antigun Presidents long ago. Moreover, every EO is subject to Congressional oversight and negation as Clinton found out the hard way when he tried to sneak an EO past Congress during his term. IIRC it wasn't over gun control but a bunch of other EO's were connected to it. Anyway, the Congress mounted a challenge and he had to back off. This POTUS won't get anything out of such a move prior to the election. I hope he knows that ONLY the hard corps base of his party would embrace such a move. But the rest of the nation would go to war. Not real bullets at first, LOL. The mass of the electorate would rise up at the ballot box, first. Then they'd progress (if they couldn't get rid of him in the election) to the jury box and only failing that would the third leg of the Republic rise up with the cartridge box.
Was John Boehner speaker back then?
What was the force used by the ATF to compel dealers to take part?
The ATF are constantly crawling down the backs of dealers, auditing their paperwork and threatening to yank their licenses. The dealers are more or at their mercy all the time.
Thank you.
