A get-well card for U.S. Rep.Jesse Jackson Jr.?
Exactly. A giant get-well card. He’s gone on leave because, his office says, he’s suffering from exhaustion.
What would be nicer than a card? If the man is in ill health, he deserves our best wishes.
So just stop with your cynicism about Chicago politicians and their antics when their political friends get indicted. Enough with your suspicion when ethics committee investigators start sniffing around, and the politician’s bikini-clad “social acquaintance” is depicted in a photo with a dolphin with a strange gleam in its eye. Enough with all your nagging doubts.
Think of the Jesse Junior Get Well Card as a great big verbal hug. And you can sign it too, if you’re outside WLS studios at State and Lake on Wednesday morning around 8 a.m. and wish to join us in sending Congressman Triple J your peppy, happy thoughts.
