“Methinks MSM journalists will smell blood in the water. They may be dyed in the wool leftists, but their self interest will trump ideology because Honor, Virtue and Loyalty are not on the top of their list.
One or more out there are are thinking Pulitzer. Woodward & Bernstein made a 40 year industry from Watergate. Why cant I cash in on this?
I hope you’re right, but Woodward and Bernstein were capable of hard and intelligent effort. This requirement eliminates most if not all of the present MSM in one fell swoop.

United States v. Nixon makes it pretty clear that executive privilege does not apply to information sought in criminal investigations of the executive branch. Time for Issa to hire Philip A. Lacovara.

Boehner isn’t crying but he is wringing his hands.
He’s afraid this will distract from the election.
I don’t get his mindset on this. How can a horrible scandal unfolding about Obama and his administration be anything but good for Romney?

I would have to say that Obama's decision to invoke "Executive Privilege" on these DOJ documents is a tacit acknowledgement that Obama was directly involved in "Fast and Furious" decisions and policies.
It would be consistent with his alleged modus operandi in conducting the RPV attacks on terrorists. Remember that he "is directly involved" in selecting targets for the strikes. This is another similarity he has to Carter, his desire to micromanage military operations.

Is Boehner crying yet? Nah, he is still in the tanning booth so he has not heard of this yet.

Exposure to sunlight is the best disinfectant against a corrupt Marxist-bent anti-Constitution administration.
This is not only contempt of congress, it is downright contempt for our Constitution. And the media needs to be exposed even more for what it is doing against the American people.
Any democrat who supports the ‘executive privilege’ ploy should be openly picketed and then voted out of office.

According to Holder, he NEVER discussed this with Obama so how can The One invoke Executive Privilege for documents he supposedly never saw?

I think we all know that obama had knowledge of F&F. He is so arrogant that there is no way that he would allow one of his cronies to do something without telling him first. He has to show who’s boss. He knew.
He should be impeached. They brought articles of impeachment against Clinton for far less than what the corrupt Kenyan muslim has done. I hope Issa stands strong and does what needs to be done.
IMPEACH

Cowards? Perhaps. But what if ... think Battle of the Bulge. Or change the metaphor. What if this was the objective all along, call off a hard count and get O to jump offsides?
Yes, I might be giving them too much credit. Guess I’m just a natural optimist. Time will tell.

I hope so. But if nothing else, this move shows that Obama is involved in this up to his squinty little eyeballs. Agreed. Normally Obama's SOP is to throw minions under the bus. Mr. 'votes present' usually doesn't want his fingerprints on anything. He must be in this deep if he is sticking out his neck so close to his reelection vote.
