They look like the shackles that came on My Pet Monster, a stuffed toy one of my kids had back in the early 80s.

They also might remind one of the chain gang shackles that were common during the last century in democrat party controlled areas of the old South.

We’ve had a number of “shoe riots” here in Indianapolis where inner city youts queue up to pay hundreds of dollars (converted from their EBT money?) for various new Nike footwear.

He has a tendency to lose EVERYTHING, but sneakers are the worst. The second to last time was in Dixon, IL (40 miles away) between our friends' house, and our car parked across the street, at night. The sneaker was finally recovered from the neighbors lawn five months later. It had been new.

I think “like” is a subjective term.

Three things:
1. Why were slaves shackled to their shoes?
2. Why were they orange?
3. I didn’t know they had velcro back then, and how secure could it have been?
