A former professor of Barack Obama has turned against his one-time student and publicly urged voters not to re-elect him.
Roberto Unger posted a video on YouTube detailing the reasons why he believes the President does not deserve a second term in the White House.
Mr Unger, a prominent Brazilian politician and an adviser to Obama in 2008, said: 'President Obama must be defeated in the coming election. He has failed to advance the progressive cause in the United States.'

That is as looney as someone not voting for any one other than Obama and saying he/she is as bad as Obama.
” failed to advance the progressive cause”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who knew
So Hussein wasn't Communist fast enough for Mr. Harvard professor. LoL.
As much as it pains me, so many Brasilians are "progressive", as if they've never learned from their own history what happens under socialism.
That being said, right thought, wrong reason.
It is the ECONOMY stupid still!
Even the radicals want to make a little money.
They studied how to do a Marxist takeover.
Must have been one of the Marxist professors Obama sought out which he talks about in his book.
Brasil is stable right now, although sales of raw material to China are said to be taking a hit. They've done a wonderful job maintaining their economy through the growth of industries developing their natural resources.
Yet I still remember shopping at "Pao De Acucar" grocery in Rio during the early 90's and seeing a clerk reach out and stamp a higher price on a can of food before a woman could pick it up. That's how bad their inflation was before switching to the real.
I can't imagine that they'd support policies that would bring them back to those days, but they do...
Just wait until their own green movement succeeds in getting them to shut down development. It's happening right now, and my Brasilian friends are always joking about making it illegal to cut down a tree.
The movement is subtle now, but it's embedded in the minds of many educated Brasilians now. The cartoons below reflect the common theme of progress destroying the land. Sound familiar?
We've been down this path before, I hope they realize where they are headed and find a balance before their socialists destroy them all over again.
1) A lumberjack swears never to cut down another tree
2) A tree flees for safety from the encroaching city
3) A bird comments on the rationalization of the consumption of natural resources versus the destruction of nature.
Obama is now being hammered by the Left for not being leftie & liberal enough. This is the final crack in the facade, the dam is about to crumble & burst. He can always denounce his critics on the Right as racists & then avoid criticism, but this is fatal, coming from the progressives. Of course, there’s nothing really “progressive” about the hard Left, they are actually regressives with a nostalgic soft spot for the good old days of Uncle Joe Stalin.
Watch for a proliferation of Che Guevara posters in the days ahead.

Sounds like one of 0bama`s admired marxist professors is disappointed with him.
Good golly what a lunatic. You’d think this professor would first press for implementation of his master prescription on the market where he might have some degree of influence - the Harvard campus. I wonder if professor Guevara has asked for the democratization of Harvard through redistribution of admission standards, so more of those not invested in high grades or hard study are able to attain what is kept from their reach by big education. And what of Harvard’s vaunted Trust endowment of some $32+ billion? Why is Harvard hoarding so much money and driving up the costs of education?
I guess, then, that he believes Romney will advance the progressive cause faster and better than Obama.
