In a revolt against Romney, at least 40 more national convention delegates asked to join 123 previous plaintiffs in a lawsuit against the Republican National Committee, and their attorney said hundreds more may soon follow suit.
The first 123 delegates, all from the 9th Circuit, sued the RNC, its Chairman Rince Priebus, and every state party chairman in the 9th Circuit in Federal Court on Monday, demanding the right to vote for the candidate of their choice on every ballot at the Republican National Convention, including the first.
The delegates claim the party violated federal law by forcing them to sign loyalty affidavits, under threat of perjury, to vote for Mitt Romney, though he is not yet the official nominee.

Obama is thrilled!
Kissinger promised the chinese that Jeb Bush would be the next president.
Obama is worried. He WANTS to run against Mitt!
Great! Lets give him Newt instead.
Newt would have Ibama looking like Biden.
The Repubs might yet be able to WIN this thing! All we need is a non-socialist nominee.
I have been told that individual states have law prescribing that electors must vote on first ballot at the convention as they are pledged.
Federal law does not.
We need to support this — openly and loudly. We have to let the delegates know we are behind them if they decide to grow a pair and dump the socialist clown from TAXachusetts for a constitutionalist.
One thing stands out: ninth circuit. Isn’t this the clown-court that sides with all things uber-liberal?. Since when do the courts decide who will be on the ballot for a presidential election? Makes the primaries a moot point if you can sue your way onto the ballot. That is the MO of the democrats, throw lawyers at any decision or process you don’t like.
NEWT/WALKER, 2012
Now there is a pair who get it done even in a tsunami with all odds stacked against them.
Newt pulled it off nationally in ‘94, with a Dem in the White House, and majority in both houses of Congress. Historic!
Walker...well, Walker swept Wisconsin the same way. Historic!
I’ll have more of that historic stuff, please, and less of the yakkers, noisemakers & newsmakers.
Loyalty affidavits, Figures!
The GOP might want Mitt, but I'm not so sure he's very popular amongst the masses.
I think only 2 people (maybe 3) can adequately articulate their positions vs Ibama.
Newt has enough bulldog in him to go toe to toe with I.
I think your talking about the General electoral convention on the 15h of December(the only real Federal election that ever takes place), not the party convention which happens at various times depending upon the State and party.

I could support that. O-ZERO has to go. But replacing him with yet another socialist does no good. Newt could win 40 states, I think.
Correct.
The electors.
Walker is best on the sidelines right now.
He has the attention of republicans nationwide, so he can be a king maker, sort of.
Remember the old EF Hutton ads? "My broker is EF Hutton, and he says..." and peoples heads turn and listen. Much like Palin is right now.
Now I wouldn't mind West as VP.
They would have to change some other rules and/or twist some arms to get more than Romney and Santorum on the first ballot. Santorum might even have trouble getting back on it at this point.
