A spirited debate broke out on Glenn Beck’s radio show on Thursday morning regarding video that has surfaced showing Barack and Michelle Obama during a 9/11 ceremony. It shows Michelle whispering something to Barack, Barack nodding back, and Michelle making a facial expression in response. Some, such as Glenn and Pat, say it shows Michelle saying something disrespectful. Others, such as Stu and intern Adam, disagree.

Some people are going to see what they want to see and the words they are saying they see are not even CLOSE to what was said. Others are close...but no cigar. As someone who is hard of hearing...I got tired over the years of asking people to repeat themselves...so I mostly watch peoples mouths when I talk to them instead of looking them in the eyes...unless they talk really loud (drives my wife crazy).
It's hard to say exactly what she says in the beginning because of the seam in the glass...but she certainly says "fold that flag." Looking at the glimpses of her lips you can see before that phrase...and using common sense..."look at how they fold that flag" is most likely what she said. But she certainly said "fold that flag"
A guy who's been reading lips all his life said this.
It looks like that to me, too. I'm not an expert but all of the other things people are suggesting don't seem to fit the lip movements.
I don't like her at all and I know she is not big on this country, but not everything she says is hateful.

I think you are overlooking something significant....I think Michele’s slight sneer and head shake at the end pretty clearly indicates that whatever she said about the flag was more negative than positive.

I also agree that the lip-reader’s version is probably correct and, if that is what she said (and you don’t see her saying it), it’s not necessarily a hateful statement.
But the problem for me is her facial expression—she looks disgusted with the people folding the flag. If you watch the video you can see that the folders are not experts-they’re just ordinary folks doing the best they can. I don’t have a problem with them, since their intentions were probably genuine.She thinks she is an expert on military issues, since one of her causes is supporting military families, which is just a farce, but that’s a whole separate debate for another day. Seeing her on this video says to me that she is probably a demanding, negative, difficult person to live with and I’m sure Barack and everyone that works at the White House catches fire from her all of the time.
I agree with you 100%. Just the fact that she said those words and both Michelle and Barrack had little smiling sneers indicated to me they were making fun of the formality of folding the flag but I do not think she used the word damn or F&#king flag. I think she carefully gaged herself from showing a saying anything to emotional all though I think in private she would have used those words.
Oh, cut the crap! So, she's walking down the street and says to her daughter, "Look at that little bird." AHHH! Hateful! Hateful!
I already said I don't like her and I will add that she is generally a snarling, sneering, enemy of the America we love and the wife of a man brought up by commies, so YOU decide to classify me as a fan of hers. Right.
