The Advocate had an online question earlier in the week, What do you do when your kid has two moms and no dad and the teacher decides everyone will be making Fathers Day cards? Heres part of how Mr. Manners answered the question:
Fortunately, many school districts have reacted to changing circumstances by modernizing this little ritual (along with its counterpart, Mothers Day), either by changing its name to Parents Day or simply by letting the kids make a card for any relative, teacher, or role model .You might also want to have a private talk with your son to allow him to express his feelings about not having a father. Tell him again how much both of his moms love him and the family youve formed, but also tell him that you understand how he might miss having a dad. Acknowledging his feelings (which may have something to do with why he told you about the card project in the first place) doesnt make your family any less valid or loving.
What Mr. Manners and the two moms asking the question allude to but dont really address is this: A boy without a father is missing something. Hes disconnected from the man who helped conceive him; half of his DNA comes from his father, and he doesnt know who that man is.
Hes missing the day-to-day interaction with his Dad, learning about masculinity, what it means to be a man and how to enter the world of boys and men. Hes missing watching his mom and dad relate, learning about healthy male-female relationships. Hes missing affirmation, time, touch and connection with his dad.
Granted, this is also true in homes with single moms. Growing up without a dad occurs too often and for a variety of reasons. And not all dads are great at connecting with and affirming their kids. Yes, other men can play an important role in a boy’s life, including adoptive fathers and stepdads. And some of these fatherless kids will turn out great. The real problem is that when two women decide to have a child, they are planning ahead to raise that child without his or her father. In essence, theyre saying, Who really needs a dad, anyway?
Theres much more to say about this, so click here to Dig Deeper: Happy Parents Day! Who Really Needs a Dad, Anyway?

To all the women who intentionally have children without a father,
May you have nothing but sons.
Then try and explain to them their ultimate purpose in life.
Carry on.
These evil Marxists that run schools-—destroying the word Mother and Father——redefining “family” as something irrational and insane.
This destroys the reality of children—ruins the meaning of a Constitution and its Laws built on the concept of Natural Law Theory.
Of course, they are trying to confuse and destroy the next generation so they use “feelings” to determine Right and Wrong, instead of Reason and Logic and Science.
This is unconstitutional to destroy the meaning of mother and father-—because that is the fundamental duty of human beings—to raise their own biological offspring. It is the foundation of private property rights and traditions and morality.
Marxists are destroying the meaning of words, so they can redefine reality for the next generation——to be whatever bizarre lie they want to promote so they can destroy the non-rational automatons-—just able to “think” what the Marxists allow. The Brave New World—and 1984-—where up is down.
“What do you do when your kid has two moms”
You tell them they are living in a perverted world.

Actually, I think "queer" is the time-tested word for, well, queers, married or not.
Every close human relationship has a one or two syllable name: mom, dad, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, cousin. "Homosexual" is just so cumbersome and clinical.
When they all embrace the terminology common in San Francisco, we will know they have really arrived, as they say in "high society."
When the rest of us embrace it, we will know they have taken over.
What do you do if your child has two moms, but the teacher decides the kids should make Father’s Day cards???
Well, of course, you should get Lambda Legal and the ACLU to file a lawsuit. You should accuse the teacher of being “hetero-normative” for just assuming that these kids have fathers. You should sue the school district for your emotional distress at how bigoted and intolerant American society is.
And your lawsuit should ask, as a partial remedy, that schools cannot talk about events such as Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. We cannot assume that kids have one of each. We are not allowed to hurt the self esteem of those who don’t fall into line with society’s prejudicial views of marriage and family life.
I figure Father’s Day will be criminalized before too long since it’s “insensitive” to lesbians and feminists.
Even Jesus was given an earthly father to raise and love him. God has shown us how important fathers are.
