Carl Ericsson was sentenced to life in prison under the guilty but sane conviction he received for the murder of his high school classmate Norman Johnson.
Ericsson only stated that a 1950s locker room incident featuring a jockstrap being pulled over his head has festered for more than 50 years, leading to the murder of Johnson in Madison, South Dakota, according to The Huffington Post. Ericssons lawyer, Kenneth Mayer, stated:
He said that a jockstrap was put on his head. Its the only thing hes ever mentioned in talking to law enforcement.
The 73-year-old man pleaded not guilty in the shooting of his former classmate, but a deal was reached before the case went to trial. A first degree murder charge in South Dakota can carry a death penalty sentence, according to AJC. Ericsson only stated that:
I guess it was from something that happened over 50 years ago. It was apparently in my subconscious.

School is known to cause psychological problems that last for years. This is the most extreme example, but they often cripple a person’s future.
Was the guy still wearing it at the time?
Revenge is a dish best served frozen.
I have often posted that some schools are so horrific that it would be better for the child to never attend.
It seems to be the case for this man.
Atomic wedgie?
I wouldn’t be suprised if a lot of “random” killings were not so random after all.
Obviously, yes.
You mean he could have simply taken it off years ago?
It’s not that an incident like this is necessarily all that bad in itself, but it may become a life changer if the kid being bullied doesn’t know how to respond.
He might have been teased by all his classmates for the rest of his time in school after this happened, and thus gradually sank into the position of being the kid that everyone bullied.
It only happens if a kid lets it happen. But some kids just don’t know how to handle this kind of incident and respond effectively.
Given the immense lapse of time, this must have been a real life changer for this guy.
How comical. People believe that they are free of consequences. Maybe....
Never made a list, but that day in the locker room when several bigger kids attacked.....I was the only one standing...almost got expelled because I caused many doctor visits that afternoon. Never mess with a kid who can carry 2 50 pound bags of grain and toss a hay bail 6 tiers.

That little guy? He’s kinda ... funny lookin’, lol.
Steve Buscemi.
Don’t know; I’m not sure he tested that idea.
I was thinking more along the lines of “Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.”
Better still:
Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord. Therefore If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:1921 (NKJV)
Yup.... funny looking, but he always seems to spice up movie’s, heck he is better than most A-listers...at least he has personality.
