Arizona Officials: Obama’s “Backdoor Amnesty” Is “Destruction of Rule of Law”

Arizona officials told reporters today that Barack Obama’s “backdoor amnesty” is “destruction of the rule of law.” The Herald reported:

“It’s a pre-emptive strike against Senate Bill 1070. The timing is unbelievable,” Brewer said.

The Republican governor also said the change means that hundreds of thousands of people will be eligible for work permits and will compete with Americans and legal immigrants for jobs.

Brewer, who recently ordered police regulators to re-issue training material on implementing the Arizona law, said state officials will study the implications of Obama’s move.

“The crux of Senate Bill 1070, of course, is documentation, and what he has done by his announcement today is he’s going to give documentation to nearly a million people that have arrived in our country illegally and not by the rule of law.”

Both Brewer and Former Arizona Senate President Russell Pearce, the chief sponsor of the Arizona law and now president of the Ban Amnesty Now group, characterized the change as a “backdoor amnesty.”

“The effect is just the destruction of the rule of law,” said Pearce, who was upset by Obama’s announcement. “It’s a slap in the face to those who come here legally. It’s a slap in the face to the rule of law.”

Rep. Steve King (R-IA) threatened to sue the Obama Administration over their backdoor amnesty.

They had better start showing some major fight soon — the SCOTUS on Obamacare, and the committee hopefully about to vote on Holder’s BLATANT CONTEMPT of Congress. To say nothing of the DELIBERATE national security leaks from the White House. The Congress has let this go way too far.

Way way too far, and for too long. It started in early 2011 when caving on the promise to cut $100 BILLION from the appropriations during the Continuing Resolution and following on through with the promise of extracting huge concessions from the WON during the debt ceiling negotiations.

My forecast.....
1) Vote on Contempt for with-Holder will go down in flames as the GOP quakes in their boots at the potential backlash from the media, and
2)SCOTUS will uphold both Obamacare AND the 9th Circus court's hold on AZ SB1070.

The black jesus' daily approval rating on Rasmussen will be back up to -10 (or better) by Wed, June 20, 2012. Obama will be enthralled with his new found power, setting the stage for the complete destruction of law and order in the USA. Complete shredding of our Constitution is on our doorsteps right now (Sat 6/16) - most people are not even grasping the full impact of his latest extra-Constitutional power grab, being all caught up in the touchie feelie good aspects of getting ready to turn themselves into the Fed Govt to get their "papers" not even thinking past tomorrow when a new President can rip those papers to shreds.

Sheriff Joe will continue to arrest illegal aliens in Maricopa county, and the black jesus will be powerless over him, except to harass with the law suits and investigations. All the Big Sis can do is refuse to pick up the illegal aliens, causing the tax payers of Maricopa county to foot the bill for continued incarceration.

The state of Arizona should immediately ask a Supreme Court justice for a restraining order against the executive branch.

While the federal courts cannot compel a president to act, personally, they can most certainly compel agencies and organizations to act, or cite agency heads for contempt and levy substantial fines on that agency.

A Latino “immigration lawyer” on FNN this morning said that if Congress doesn’t like it, they can change the law. He went on to say “THEY DON’T HAVE THE GUTS.” Sadly, he’s right. But if these clowns on Jenkins’ Hill think those latinos (legal and illegal) are going to vote for the GOP, they should be careful to not let their minds wander: They’re too small to be out alone.

Not that it would do any good, I called my congresscritters’ (202-224-3121) this morning to ask when they plan to offer Articles of Impeachment for this, the Law of the Seas Treaty, the activities of Holder, et al, the waste of taxpayer bucks on the green jobs idiocy, etc., etc. I’ll spare you the entire list as it runs to a few hundred pages. If impeachment is not their plan, I asked them to have the decency to RESIGN as the first branch of this government is clearly no longer needed and Obama could use the bucks saved to help buy the coming “election” or perhaps resume his taxpayer funded World Tour.

Bottom line? If you are STILL unconvinced that this guy is a clear and present danger to YOUR way of life, you probably live in a refrigerator crate behind a vacant warehouse. And if that is NOT your current living condition, re-elect this guy and it shortly will be.

The governments rule of law only applies to legitimate tax payer citizens.

Mexicans who enter the U.S. illegally need not worry about such things as the government rolls out the red carpet for them, offering them prizes, coupons, free medical care, food stamps, social services, education etc, costing tax payers hundreds of billions per year.

In fact, Mexicans are some of the most disrespectful people on the planet, as millions of them they routinely disrespect our borders, rules and laws, knowing the tax payers are paying the bill.

I agree that 800K is a totally B.S. number. Makes for an acceptably deceptive sound bite for the babbling talking heads to spew, however, since under a million sounds like small potatoes relative to a national population of 310 million +.

I'm actually thinking about Flagstaff or if Phoenix area some conservative suburb like Scottsdale.

Scottsdale is a great place for conservatives. As another poster said a while back, moving here from California feels like moving back to America. If your SO is worried about losing access to California shopping/dining/nightlife she need not - Scottsdale is exactly the same on the high-end side, minus the crumbling infrastructure, the political sleaze factor, and the ill-behaved Amish. And your OC house sale proceeds will go pretty far here - not like Oklahoma, but much better than, say, Palm Springs.

It gets a little hot in the summer - no problem. Keeps the bums out and it's a pretty quick five hour drive to San Diego if you miss the ocean fog. :)

I'm not one ounce concerned about "shopping/dining/nightlife". I'm sure that can be found in the greater Phoenix area, and being older, we really don't care that much.

I want to live in a State that recognizes my rights, as specifically spelled out in the Constitution and supported by the Founding Fathers' numerous correspondence. I've always been a States Rights person above all. I was a founding member of Veterans for Constitutional Restoration (VetsCoR - see sidebar) and later the Chairman. Our mission was minimizing fedgov control and maximizing States' Rights.

Got a good realtor in the suburban areas of Phoenix? Please Freepmail me. My realtor here says I have one of the few properties that would probably sell in a reasonable time. BTW, what would it cost to A/C a 2500 sq ft home in that area during the summer with just 2 occupants who are frugal? Guess I should ask the realtor. Thanks for any input.
