Romney's Statement:

“I believe the status of young people who come here through no fault of their own is an important matter to be considered, and should be solved on a long term basis so they know what their future would be in this country,” Romney said after a campaign stop in Milford, New Hampshire.

“I think the action that the president took today makes it more difficult to reach that long term solution because an executive order is, of course, a short term matter and can be reversed by subsequent presidents,” Romney said.

“I would like to seek legislation that deals with this issue and I happen agree with Marco Rubio as he looked at, considered this issue, he said that this is an important matter that we have to find a long term solution,” Romney said.

I don’t think the GOP needs to say much here. Those who support this are now more in favor of Obama than ever. Those opposed are now more opposed than ever. Romney saying one thing or another won’t matter. I think there will be plenty of middle America who won’t like this regardless of what Romney says or doesn’t say.

This whole thing is a mess. From Romney to Rubio and the DO NOTHING House the Republicans control.

There are two people that need to go:

1) Obama 2) Boehner

Romney doesn’t need to walk into this mine field right now. He is setting himself up should he become president for little room to maneuver.

Why the hell can’t a Republican enunciate a core belief here instead of this “me too” idiocy.

This statement just says he agrees with Obama only it won’t last long enough.

Give them a "no fault of their own" deportation along with their parents.

Oh sure Mitt. You can reverse an unconstituitional executive order in the same way it was made, unconstitutionally. Or perhaps you think it was Constitutional and Article 1, Section 8 does not apply for some reason that you have divined but have yet to clarify.

The Congress shall have power ... To establish a uniform rule of naturalization.

Whatta laugh.

A Kenyan criminal arrogates the power of law to himself, makes himself king and declares that foreign criminals have immunity while his "Justice" department is out arresting, suing and terrorizing the citizenry?

And all Little Mittens can do is stand aside and meekly issue some watered down statement?

Romney is in danger of stepping on one of the mines planted by Obama on this issue. He is either going to antagonize people like me for, as Sarah Palin says, "pandering" to the Hispanic vote or he is in danger of seeing a replay of Obama's score he reached in 2008 among Hispanic voters.

I suggest a simple solution: Romney should endorse the non-deportation of this carefully defined class upon its being ratified by Congress and subject to these youths serving at least two full years active duty service in the military with no provisions for community service opt outs. Is this not essentially the law anyway?

If We Took the Constitution Seriously, Obama Would Be Impeached

If the citizens of this Republic still took the Constitution seriously, Obama would be impeached for his decision to unilaterally grant amnesty to certain illegal aliens. Article 1, Sec. 8 of the Constitution, which enumerates the power of Congress, states that "Congress shall have the Power To... establish an [sic] uniform Rule of Naturalization." Congress has passed numerous laws pertaining to immigration and naturalization, including laws requiring the deportation of illegals.

This will not help Obama.

First, many hispanics will see it for what it is —— a political move.

Second, other hispanics, who are out of work, will be just a furious as any other citizen who is out of work.

Essentially, President Obama is saying he will not enforce immigration laws.

The question that needs to be asked is whether companies that hire these non-citizens be punished?

Romney’s statement:
“Muhnuhmunuh di-diii dididi. Muhnuhmuhnuh di-didi-di.”

What a real leader would say:
“I will deport as many illegal aliens as possible, and I will put an absolute and final end to any discussion of amnesty by passing a law which forever prohibits it. If you are here illegally, you have less than five months to go home on your own before we throw you out in chains. If you employ illegal aliens, we will pursue and punish you with the same righteous fury.

Oh, and construction of a fence, a real fence with electrified barbed wire and sharks with lasers, will begin within one week of my inauguration.”

Brilliant reply by Romney's side to yet another major attack on America.

Few have figured out yet that the 800,000 young illegals referenced, supposedly now eligible for almost anything, are just the tip of the iceberg.

What about the zillions in that age group all largely unemployed throughout Mexico, Central and South America who will now be on a mission to get here since their status is assured by the Dear Leader.

IT's a huge sham and all designed to create a pathway down the road, incrementally again an old commie tactic, for illegals voting,by hook or crook, which is what this is all about.

Zero's handlers know his constituents fall short of a win after the ruse is over. He needs a permanent solution of poor desperate people who will always vote for a handout instead of a hand up.Enter poor thirds worlders, problem solved.

Where is the actual executive order? Can’t deal with this effectively if we don’t know what it actually says.

I really, really want to be able to support Romney but mealy mouthed statements like this make me want to sell my house, empty my bank account, and move to New Zealand.

America is being demolished at warp speed before our very eyes - yet all we get from the worthless capons in the GOP is "me too, but not as fast or as obvious, please"...
