Attorney General Eric Holder on Thursday agreed to make what he called "an extraordinary accommodation" to Republicans investigating the botched "Operation Fast and Furious" by turning over department emails he has long insisted deal with internal deliberations and should be protected.
Holder is trying to head off a push by House Republicans to hold him in contempt of Congress for allegedly "stonewalling" their investigation. And he offered to personally brief the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., in the next few days.

Issa, the ‘open government’ advocate, would be making a grave error if he agreed to a ‘closed-door’ meeting with Holder....
Anything he has to say needs to be said in open Committee, for all of us to hear....
From his testimony that stated emails that contained the words “Fast And Furious” were not referring to “Fast and Furious” he cannot comply without calling himself a liar.

If I were Issa I would say fine, but the vote on contempt is still going to be scheduled. Given your foot dragging and outright lies to the House anything that you give us now will be redacted or half of the story. You had your chance you blew it.

Yep. Now he's trying to limit his consequences for lying to Congress for over a year, giving weapons away to criminals, and his personal liability for the death of Agent Brian Terry.

By definition a black democrat cannot be guilty of any crime. To say otherwise is racis[t]. Holder will never see the inside of a jail cell.
Holder lied in front of a committee hearing. That is one act of Contempt of Congress.
Withholding the requested documentation is a separate act of contempt.
Holder should turn over the requested information, without any strings attached, so that he would receive some leniency on one count of contempt, but he should not receive any leniency for lying to the House Oversight Committee.
No deal.
Holder maybe the next WH bus victim, question is how far will he go to protect Obama or will he cave in and give up the goods on the liberal messiah?
Prepare for plenty of casualties in the next several weeks, this is going to get bloody.

I hope Issa sees right through this. You are right, it needs to be said during an open committee hearing for the world to hear.
