Arizona is already gearing up to enforce its strict immigration law as it anticipates a favorable ruling from the Supreme Court sometime this month, with Gov. Jan Brewer issuing an executive order this week telling police to bone up on the details of the law.
Mrs. Brewer ordered that training materials produced to help police understand the law and its limits should be distributed throughout the state in preparation for a ruling.
The materials, created by a state board that sets standards for all law enforcement, include a DVD designed to help police understand the circumstances that would let them question someone about immigration status.
That power has been the most controversial part of the law, SB 1070, which Mrs. Brewer signed in 2010 but was largely halted by lower federal courts as an infringement on federal powers.
In her order, Mrs. Brewer said the materials need to make clear that an individuals race, color or national origin alone cannot be grounds for reasonable suspicion to believe any law has been violated.

If you stop them, check them. If they are illegal, detain them. Make them afraid, very afraid.....make them want to go the hell back to where they came from.
This is on par with the Communist Democrat Party objecting to voter ID. It is one more example of political correctness silencing those with common sense. Next will be a law against criticising the government.
Yes. I had a pretty good plan to discourage illegal border crossings, but it is far too non PC to ever gain traction.
Upon a finding that a law was broken by illegally crossing any border they should be removed to a more centralized internment somewhere very very cold and made to work for their time that they are “guests of the State.”
Like Alaska. Wouldn’t have to be long internments.
I’m quite sure that the illegal crossing rate would drop.
I could hear the endless parallels to Soviet Gulags...
“If you stop them, check them. If they are illegal, detain them.”
These clowns don’t follow our rules, and we have to enforce ours by the book? No wonder these leaf blowers are laughing at us.
“Yes. I had a pretty good plan to discourage illegal border crossings, but it is far too non PC to ever gain traction.”
My plan involved landmines and spiked trenches.
A few of us went with electrified fence and a bunch of questionable Freepers told us in no uncertain terms that we wanted dead Mexican kids.
It was quite the interesting thread. I would however be perfectly happy with your solution.
There is a reason why the DMZ is very successful in deterring invaders..
No sane person would cross after the boom. Now if you want your free healthcare and mooch off the gringos you despise but feel it’s worth it, then feel free to cross as this so-called current fence or border ain’t working and never did.
Eventually, once the Zetas start dumping the bodies of southern states BP and police on the state capital steps a handful of illegal supporters might come on over to our side, but they’ll be quickly shouted down by their fellow libs and so called conservatives that demand cheap labor at any cost.
Once the Zetas start dumping dead libs in the streets, we might see some action...But I doubt it. It would be racist to stop them.../s
And after they have finished there work (that's what they claim they came here for, was to work), then we send Mexico a bill for the expense to keep them in jail and to transport them back to their homeland.
Other foreign invaders do not get treated as well in many other countries. Let them sneak across the DMZ.
Razor wire, minds etc. in the middle between that and a second trench filled with more garbage topped off with biohazard.
It might discourage quite a few.
June is turning out to be a good month. The flushing of Commiecare and now this - Woohoooooo!!!
I’m actually in favor of some kind of land mines. Maybe not ones that will injure, but perhaps a non-toxic dye explosion that will indelibly mark the offenders.
>The flushing of Commiecare
... when did that happen?
Imminent.
If you doubt this, wake up.
There is nothing strict about AZ immigration law. It is the same as the fed law.
There are some promising signs so far, but many of us don't count the chickens until they've hatched.
If Obamacare is upheld as constitutional, the Republic and its Constitution are not just dead, but buried.
This is an unconscionable possibility. That’s why I’m so sure.
There are also many in DC that don't care about our Republic and its Constitution, and will do whatever possible to force their ideology on us.
