It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp.
Sad, hope they don’t get convicted for anything except cleaning up the streets.
Let em walk, they did society a favor.
Dang - pimping out a 17 year old and nobody they went to could do anything for them? Like arrest the guy? Or the girl? Or the johns? A known gang member with an underage prostitute and they wouldn’t return the girl to her parents?
WTH?
Shouldn’t stories about pimps be posted in bloggers?
So as to be among friends, so to speak...
They finally got the police to pay attention. Rescue their daughter from a pimp? Not a police issue. Prosecute after the parents solve the problem? The police are right there.
—”The motive is all they (prosecutors) have, as far as we’re concerned,” said Tony Tamburello, Mercado’s attorney. “This would not be the first time the police and prosecutors got it wrong.”—
It seems that may be true, however:
—”San Francisco police have thoroughly investigated this case, and the investigation is not limited to San Francisco,” he said. “We would not charge a case unless we had a good-faith basis that we could prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.”—
Reading that, the Zimmerman case comes to mind. i.e. Yeah, sure... ;-)
The spirit of Paul Kelsey lives!
Judge: “Did you shoot him in the Bayview Section?”
Defendant”: “Only because he turned around so quickly”
give them double the bounty for gang bangers. The punk was a GB and a pimp. The cops will never do it. Time for people to start cleaning up their own streets and neighborhoods.
When do the pimp protection protests begin?
Seems like they their daughter and society a big favor. They should not be charged at all. If charged I hope they are found not guilty.
But if these folks get convicted, the sentence for the murder should be more like community service, not hard time.
Hey, they already demonstrated they are good at community service, by taking this gang member off the streets.
First they came for the pimps but I did not speak out because I was not a pimp. Then they....
I want pics of all
Several elements of this story are unintentionally funny.
Calvin Sneed? Cranston Snord? Lamont Shadowskeedeeboomboom?
Nutty Block Crip street gang? Wasn’t the Nutty Block Crisp one of Willy Wonka’s candies? Or is it more a granola bar?
Gilton, 38, and Mercado, 37...lifelong San Francisco residents who have been *dating* since their teens...and live with their three other children...
=== Gilton, a former high school basketball star, was convicted in 1995 of drug dealing and possession. He and Mercado face charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and one count of discharging a firearm at an occupied vehicle. Gilton was also charged with possession of a firearm as a felon. ===
Reminds me of the film “Taken”.
One of my worst nightmares as a parent - Failing to be able to help my child who desperately needs help.
Sad.
