Recently, the National Association for Gun Rights was the first to break the incredible story of the suspension of a man's Second Amendment rights in Shreveport, Louisiana.
At the time, no other gun rights organization bothered to expose this violation of Second Amendment freedoms. But when we tracked down the victim, Robert Baillio, for an interview, we couldn't believe what we heard, and we immediately sent out a nationwide alert.
The story went viral overnight.
If this tale of government abuse moves you, send it to a friend or family member to get the word out.
Welcome to Shreveport: Your rights are now suspended According to Cedric Glover, Mayor of Shreveport, Louisiana, his cops "have a power that the President of these United States does not have."
Mayor Glover claimed his police officers had the power to take away certain rights.
And would you like to guess which rights he had in mind?
Just ask Shreveport resident Robert Baillio, who was pulled over for having two pro-gun bumper stickers on the back of his truck -- and had his gun confiscated.
While the officer who pulled him over says Baillio failed to use his turn signal, the only questions he had for Baillio concerned guns: Whether he had a gun, where the gun was and if he was a member of a pro-gun organization.

La., like many Southern States, used to be blue. It is now very red. The republicans control the house, senate and the Governors Mansion. We like our guns and our laws are very relaxed. There is even a bill in the assembly now that would make it legal for anyone who can legally own a gun able to carry a concealed weapon without a permit. We will see if it passes.

Yes, the acronyms “Fat Bastard” and “One of Holder’s People” seem appropriate.
It won’t happen again. The assembly passed and Governor Blanco signed a law guaranteeing our second amendment right, even during a disaster. The NRA was instrumental in getting it passed.
Is this guy a pro-gun group of one? All I’ve ever heard from the guy is emails asking for money.
Who is he?
What/who is his organization?
He damn sure don’t miss many meals.
Thanks for the wakeup call. I thought I was smelling the proverbial rat in that unsolicited email, now I'm pretty darn sure that I am. Sorry NAGR, your scam didn't work.
Any person or org that solicit's money on false pretenses should be held accountable somehow. The money needed to counteract the propaganda being spewed daily by the radically anti-gun rights media is too hard to raise for us to allow ourselves to be scammed by a false prophet crying wolf. Which is what the NAGR appears to be.
Click on the link in post #15, it will answer your questions far better than I could.
So when did he stop being the “entertainer”?
Whoa! That boy can eat!
As of the 2010 census the population of Shreveport was 218,021. The racial and ethnic composition of the population was 41.2% white, 54.7% black or African American, 0.4% Native American, 1.3% Asian, 0.9% from some other race and 1.5% from two or more races. 2.5% of the population was Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Hopefully the LA legislature will soon enact legislation to restore the 2nd A rights of Shreveport's citizens of all skin colors.
