Also popcorn is a whole grain, I guess whole wheat bread will be next.
...yeah this is what’s going to fix the problems in New York...
Guess I’ll call George Castanza and we can eat a bucket of cheese as big as our heads (and I have a big head).
Next, french fries, ice cream, cheeseburgers, lasagna, pie, cake, twinkies!, barbeque, chips
Also no beer
NYC will become the broccoli capital of the world, imagine all the slim folks
How come noone has mentioned the obvious- no food stamps accepted for hi calorie food
New Jersey could benefit from the fed up New Yorkers.
Popcorn? Why not potato chips, pizza, lasagna, ice cream and a host of other calorie-rich snacks?
What astounds me that 40+% of the Sheeple in NYC approve of this. I’m utterly flabbergasted that the number approving of this is actually above 5%.
Of course they ignore the fact that there are some families out here who buy the biggest drink and popcorn combo and then share it among several people. That is what we do, 1 big soda and popcorn shared by my wife, 2 daughters and myself. And the jumbo sodas are half to 3/4s filled with ice cubes before the soda is put into the cup.
Let’s see if I have the liberals’ logic correct....weed and abortions are ok, but soda and popcorn are bad. Is that right?
Not only that, but it is rich in fiber and roughage. It is the butter and salt which makes it less than healthy.
Leave it to a liberal to let a man smoke pot but then deny him access to sweets.
...uh, make the UN fed New Yorkers! :-)
Can’t eat corn, popcorn or nuts, but if I could and lived in NY city, I’d be up in arms.
I guess there will be money to be made bootlegging cokes and popcorn into NY city.
First rule of American politics (2000+ Edition) -
Don’t take on Big Corn. You’ll lose.
I understand Bloomberg has a thing for Cheez-Its, so at least those are safe.
Calling NY government officials Nazis is an insult to Nazis.
“Earlier at the meeting, it was revealed that the city’s obesity crisis causes 5,800 deaths a year and costs taxpayers $4billion annually.”
BS, pure BS and I would love to see how they arrived at those figures. I’m sure it was assumed that obesity was always a contributing factor no matter the cause listed on the DC.
Chairs and sofas lead to obesity too.
